Abstract
myITS Thesis adalah aplikasi berbasis web yang berguna untuk mengelola administrasi Tugas Akhir di ITS. Aplikasi tersebut merupakan salah satu dari beberapa layanan yang disediakan oleh Direktorat Pengembangan Teknologi dan Sistem Informasi (DPTSI) ITS, unit yang mengurusi keperluan teknologi informasi di ITS. Karena hanya mendukung kebutuhan administrasi, penggunaan aplikasi ini dikhawatirkan hanya bersifat normatif dan cenderung menjemukan. Pada penelitian Tugas Akhir ini, myITS Thesis akan dibekali dengan dukungan gamifikasi agar penggunanya (mahasiswa) bisa lebih termotivasi dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir masing-masing. Gamifikasi adalah proses pengintegrasian elemen khas pada game ke dalam suatu sistem yang lebih fungsional dan produktif. Tujuannya adalah untuk memotivasi pengguna untuk melakukan kegiatan yang produktif sebagaimana seseorang termotivasi untuk bermain game. Proses desain antarmuka pengguna dan gamifikasi yang dilakukan menggunakan metode Double Diamond dan Octalysis. Dilakukan iterasi desain sebanyak tiga kali. Di akhir, dilakukan evaluasi antarmuka dan gamifikasi yang dilakukan dan diperoleh nilai rata-rata SUS sebesar 81,25 dari 100, nilai rata-rata SEQ sebesar 6,69 dari 7, dan nilai rata-rata persepsi pengaruh gamifikasi terhadap peningkatan engagement dan motivasi mahasiswa sebesar 4,3 dari 5.

The myITS Thesis is a web-based application designed to manage the administration of Final Projects at ITS. This application is one of several services provided by the Directorate of Technology Development and Information Systems (DPTSI) at ITS, a unit responsible for information technology needs at the institution. Due to its focus on administrative needs, there is concern that the application may be perceived as normative and potentially monotonous. In this Final Project research, myITS Thesis will be equipped with gamification support to encourage users (students) to be more enthusiastic in completing their respective final projects. Gamification involves integrating game-specific elements into a system to make it more functional and productive. The goal is to motivate users to engage in productive activities, like how individuals are motivated to play games. The design process for the user interface and gamification implementation is utilizing Double Diamond method and Octalysis framework. The design process took three iterations in total. In the end, the evaluation of user interface and gamification was conducted and the results are the average SUS score obtained was 81,25 out of 100, average SEQ score obtained was 6,69 out of 7, and average gamification effectiveness perception on increasing engagement and motivation for students was 4,3 out of 5.
