Abstract
Pada proses pengelasan perakitan underframe material SS400 yang dilakukan PT INKA (Persero) teridentifikasi beberapa masalah pengelasan, salah satunya adalah siklus pemanasan dan pendinginan yang tidak merata sehingga mengakibatkan terjadi distorsi. Untuk mereduksi distorsi tersebut dilakukan perlakuan flame straightening. Flame straightening dipengaruhi oleh temperatur yang digunakan sehingga berdampak pada kualitas hasil pengelasan terdistorsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh temperatur flame straightening pada hasil pengelasan material SS400 yang terdistorsi terhadap sifat mekanik dan struktur mikro. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen untuk mengetahui pengaruh temperatur flame straightening terhadap nilai kekuatan tarik, nilai kekerasan, dan struktur mikro yang terbentuk pada hasil pengelasan terdistorsi. Variasi temperatur yang digunakan, yaitu 500°C, 600°C, dan 700°C. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa nilai kekuatan tarik dan nilai kekerasan menurun seiring dengan meningkatnya temperatur. Nilai rata-rata kekuatan tarik berturut-turut sebesar 459,33 MPa, 444,67 MPa, dan 439,33 MPa dengan semua spesimen mengalami patah di base metal. Nilai rata-rata kekerasan tertinggi berada pada daerah weld metal, nilainya berturut-turut sebesar 78 HRB, 74 HRB, dan 72 HRB. Hasil pengujian metalografi ditemukan bahwa struktur mikro yang terbentuk adalah ferrite dan pearlite dengan adanya perubahan ukuran butiran akibat dari variasi temperatur flame straightening.

In the welding process for assembling the SS400 underframe material carried out by PT INKA (Persero), several welding problems were identified, one of which was the uneven heating and cooling cycle, which resulted in distortion. To reduce this distortion, flame straightening treatment is carried out. Flame straightening is influenced by the temperature used so it has an impact on the quality of the distorted welding results. This research aims to analyze the effect of flame straightening temperature on the welding results of distorted SS400 material on mechanical properties and microstructure. This research uses an experimental method to determine the effect of flame straightening temperature on tensile strength values, hardness values, and microstructures formed in distorted welding results. The temperature variations used were 500°C, 600°C and 700°C.
This research found that the tensile strength and hardness values decreased with increasing temperature. The average values of tensile strength were respectively 459.33 MPa, 444.67 MPa, and 439.33 MPa with all specimens experiencing fracture at the base metal. The highest average hardness value is in the weld metal area, the values are 78 HRB, 74 HRB and 72 HRB respectively. The results of metallographic testing found that the microstructure formed was ferrite and pearlite with changes in grain size due to variations in flame straightening temperature.
