Abstract

This research aims to apply the FMECA (Failures Mode, Effect, and Criticality Analysis) method in determining maintenance priorities in industrial electric power systems by taking into account Expected Interruption Cost (ECOST). The FMECA method is used to identify potential failures, analyze their impact, and determine the level of failure criticality in the system, while the focus on ECOST includes decreased production capacity, downtime, and additional production costs as the main parameters. Involving a case study of an industrial electric power system, this research collects data on system configuration, failure history, production, and operational performance. The FMECA method is applied to measure the impact of failure on the ECOST, and the analysis results are used to determine maintenance priorities. It is hoped that the integration of the FMECA Method and attention to ECOST will provide holistic and efficient guidance for professionals in optimizing industrial power system maintenance strategies, considering production aspects and financial impacts simultaneously.
