Abstract

Tugas akhir ini mengembangkan aplikasi chatbot berbasis web bernama Tanya.in untuk Keluarga Mahasiswa ITS (KM ITS) menggunakan kerangka kerja Next.js.

In today's digital era, artificial intelligence (AI) technology has become a dominant trend, especially in 2023, with the integration of AI in various products of major companies such as Adobe, Microsoft, and Google. One prominent application of AI is chatbots, which are widely used in the customer service sector to provide fast and efficient automated responses based on a specific knowledge base. The trend of using chatbots is expected to continue increasing until 2030, showing great potential in improving the efficiency of automated communication in various industries.
This final project develops a web-based chatbot application called Tanya.in for the ITS Student Family (KM ITS) using the Next.js framework. The User-Centered Design (UCD) method is used in the user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design, which is implemented using Figma. The design and evaluation process was conducted in two iterations using usability testing and heuristic evaluation to test the usability and suitability of the design. The results of the second stage evaluation showed a SUS (System Usability Scale) score of 85.83, which indicates good usability. This application is expected to help students find academic information by providing fast and accurate access to information through a responsive web.
