Abstract

===========================================================
The variety of cultures that are evenly distributed throughout Indonesia makes the patterns and characteristics of each region. These diverse cultures became entities of Indonesia as a unitary state. Kejawen culture is a philosophical culture that is inherent and famous in the Javanese tribe, this is also influenced by the number of Javanese people who have a fairly large proportion in Indonesia. According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in the 2010 Population Census, the Javanese population in Indonesia reached 95,217,022 people, representing 40.22 percent of the total population of Indonesia. However, along with the development of the increasingly advanced era, many young generations forget the culture that has been passed down by their ancestors. Seeing this phenomenon, there is an opportunity to introduce and preserve local culture through creative exploration that combines elements of art and cultural heritage with an interesting approach. The preservation of Weton culture as part of the traditional heritage in the Javanese calendar, plays an important role in realizing the sustainability of local wisdom. The research methods used include analysis of the meanings contained in Pancawara Weton as well as in-depth interviews with cultural experts and local communities to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the design. From interviews and analysis of literature studies that include art toys, collectible toys, physiognomy methods and several other supporting literature, the results of these studies will be used as a reference in designing design concepts. The result of this design is collectible toys that are able to exude visual appeal, while introducing traditional values. By combining modern aesthetics and cultural heritage, this design contributes to the preservation and renewal of traditional culture in a context relevant to today's times.
