Abstract

Pertumbuhan industri kosmetik dan peningkatan permintaan pasar telah menyebabkan peningkatan produksi yang signifikan. Hal ini dapat mengakibatkan penggunaan sumber daya alam yang lebih besar dan peningkatan limbah serta dampak negatif lainnya terhadap lingkungan dan sosial. Menghadapi tantangan ini, penting bagi industri kosmetik untuk mengimplementasikan Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM) dalam aktivitas bisnisnya. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis hambatan dalam implementasi SSCM di industri kosmetik Indonesia, meliputi empat kategori utama: operasional, integrasi stakeholder, kebijakan dan regulasi, serta sumber daya manusia, dengan total 17 item hambatan yang teridentifikasi. Metode Fuzzy Delphi digunakan untuk menentukan hambatan yang berpengaruh, sedangkan Fuzzy DEMATEL digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antar-item hambatan dan mengetahui hambatan yang signifikan. Enam di antara item hambatan tersebut yaitu perencanaan strategis supply chain yang tidak memadai, kesulitan dalam melaksanakan program pengembalian kemasan bekas, biaya keuangan tambahan terkait masalah lingkungan, kurangnya pelatihan tentang sustainability, penerapan teknologi informasi yang belum memadai, dan kurangnya human skills yang diperlukan, tergolong dalam cause group dan menjadi hambatan yang signifikan. Lalu, terdapat rekomendasi strategi berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian ini. Rekomendasi strategi yang diberikan untuk mengatasi hambatan yang signifikan adalah penting untuk menyesuaikan SSCM dengan strategi masing-masing perusahaan dengan memperhatikan keterampilan teknologi dan informasi pendukung untuk mendukung sustainable development melalui inovasi, mendorong komunikasi mengenai penggunaan kembali kemasan, memastikan kelayakan finansial produk ramah lingkungan, dan membina lingkungan yang kondusif untuk mengembangkan keterampilan ekologi karyawan.

The growth of the cosmetics industry and increased market demand has led to a significant increase in production. This may result in greater use of natural resources and increased waste as well as other negative environmental and social impacts. Facing these challenges, it is important for the cosmetics industry to implement Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM) in its business activities. This study identifies and analyzes the barriers to SSCM implementation in the Indonesian cosmetics industry, covering four main categories: operational, stakeholder integration, policy and regulation, and human resources, with a total of 17 identified barrier items. Fuzzy Delphi method was used to determine the influential barriers, while Fuzzy DEMATEL was used to determine the relationship between the barrier items and determine the significant barriers. Six of the barrier items, namely inadequate supply chain strategic planning, difficulty in implementing used packaging return programs, additional financial costs related to environmental issues, lack of training on sustainability, inadequate application of information technology, and lack of human skills required, belong to the cause group and become significant barriers. Then, there are strategy recommendations based on the results of these two methods. The strategy recommendations given to overcome significant barriers are the importance to adapt SSCM to each company's strategy by paying attention to supporting technological and information skills to support sustainable development through innovation, encouraging communication regarding packaging reuse, ensuring the financial viability of green products, and fostering an environment conducive to developing employees' ecological skills.
