Abstract

Pada tahun 2023, Anargya ITS EV Team mengikuti Formula SAE JAPAN kategori Electric Vehicle (EV).
Kriteria desain ditentukan dari von Mises stress, total deformation, factor of safety, fatigue life, dan massa.
Variasi B4 menunjukkan total deformation 1,132 mm, von Mises stress 231,884 MPa, factor of safety 2,17, fatigue life 35.376.859 siklus, dan massa 0,242 kilogram, menjadikannya desain paling sesuai untuk direalisasikan

In 2023, the Anargya ITS EV Team participated in the Formula SAE JAPAN Electric Vehicle (EV) category. The competition included static and dynamic events, including technical inspection and brake tests. At the competition, the brake pedal of the Anargya car experienced cracks and deformation, due to material selection, improper geometry, and short fatigue life in the previous design. According to FSAE regulations, brake system components must withstand a load of 2000N.
This study aims to determine the most suitable design and material for the Brake Pedal of Anargya EV car. The finite element method was used with two combinations of geometry and material variations, resulting in eight variations that were simulated using ANSYS software. Design criteria were determined from von Mises stress, total deformation, factor of safety, fatigue life, and mass.
Simulation results and convergence tests showed that variation B4 was most suitable and met all design criteria. The convergence test showed an average error below 1% and a maximum error of less than 7%, ensuring the accuracy of the meshing and simulation results. Geometry 4 has the smallest error at 3 mm element size with an error of 0.17%. Variation B4 showed a total deformation of 1.132 mm, von Mises stress of 231.884 MPa, factor of safety of 2.17, fatigue life of 35,376,859 cycles, and mass of 0.242 kilograms, making it the most suitable design for realization
