Abstract

Di Desa Banjararum, Kecamatan Singosari, Kabupaten Malang, masyarakat berusaha memanfaatkan lahan kosong untuk menanam komoditas sawi. Pemerintah Kabupaten Malang juga telah merencanakan pengelolaan kawasan permukiman dengan memanfaatkan lahan pertanian dan halaman rumah untuk mendukung hunian agraris. Meskipun demikian, partisipasi tenaga kerja perempuan dalam usahatani masih rendah, dengan sebagian besar perempuan berstatus ibu rumah tangga. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, penelitian dilakukan untuk merumuskan strategi pengembangan usahatani komoditas sawi di Desa Banjararum melalui pemberdayaan perempuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah content analysis untuk mengidentifikasi peran kelompok wanita tani, faktor penghambat, faktor pendorong, serta analisis SWOT untuk merumuskan strategi. Pada hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa KWT di Desa Banjararum telah mengimplementasikan perannya, namun pendapatan hasil panen belum bisa memenuhi kebutuhan rumah tangga sehari-hari para anggotanya. Sebagai upaya mengatasi persoalan tersebut maka dirumuskan enam strategi prioritas antara lain menyediakan wadah edukasi dengan memanfaatkan kerja sama dengan perguruan tinggi terkait penerapan keilmuan dari mitra perguruan tinggi tersebut, melakukan pemasaran secara jemput bola ke konsumen sekitar desa untuk memasarkan produk segar, produk olahan, dan tanaman polybag, serta menarik minat partisipasi dan menjaga keberlanjutannya dengan kegiatan simpan pinjam yang telah berjalan.

In Banjararum Village, Singosari Subdistrict, Malang District, the community is trying to utilize vacant land to grow mustard greens. The Malang District Government has also planned the management of residential areas by utilizing agricultural land and house yards to support agrarian housing. Nevertheless, women's labor participation in farming is still low, with most women having the status of housewives. To overcome this problem, this research aims to formulate a strategy for the development of mustard commodity farming in Banjararum Village through women's empowerment. The research method used is content analysis to identify the role of women farmer groups, inhibiting factors, driving factors, and SWOT analysis to formulate strategies. The research found that KWT in Banjararum Village has implemented its role, but the harvest income has not been able to fulfill the daily household needs of its members. As an effort to overcome this problem, six priority strategies were formulated, including providing an educational platform by utilizing cooperation with universities related to the application of knowledge from the university partners, conducting pick-up marketing to consumers around the village to market fresh products, processed products, and polybag plants, as well as attracting participation and maintaining sustainability with savings and loan activities that have been running.
