Abstract

Sepatu merupakan salah satu kebutuhan penting yang tidak hanya menyokong keselamatan dan kenyamanan manusia dalam beraktivitas, tetapi juga menjadi pelengkap dari penampilan penggunanya. Salah satu dari beberapa aspek penting yang dipertimbangkan dalam merancang sepatu adalah aksesori, embellishment, atau ornamen dekoratif. Perkembangan tren pada produk alas kaki wanita juga mencangkup penambahan aksesori dan dekorasi, yang mana mendukung pola pikir wanita dalam mengekspresikan diri mereka melalui fesyen. Sejalan dengan kondisi tersebut, menteri Perindustrian Indonesia, Bapak Agus Gumiwang menyampaikan bahwa industri kulit yang meliputi barang jadi dan alas kaki tumbuh positif sebesar 13,12 persen pada kuartal II tahun 2022. Pada perancangan ini, salah satu potensi yang akan dikembangkan untuk industri alas kaki berbahan kulit ialah dengan mengeksplorasi serta menambahkan aksesori sebagai bentuk dan identitas dan media ekspresi penggunanya. Dengan menggunakan metode studi literatur serta analisis preferensi target pengguna, didapati bahwa salah satu yang menjadi daya tarik aksesori terletak pada aplikasinya sebagai fitur pada produk. Dengan penambahan fitur convertible, membuat pengguna tidak mudah bosan dengan tampilan sepatu dan merasa dilibatkan dalam memilih penampilan mereka. Selanjutnya, dengan metode eksperimen, pengembangan desain, prototyping, dan pengujian produk, dihasilkan luaran berupa tiga seri desain sepatu wanita dengan variasi fitur aksesori sepatu, yang konsepnya disesuaikan dengan target pengguna.

Shoes are one of the essential needs that not only support the safety and comfort of humans in their activities, but also complement the appearance of its users. One of the important aspects considered in designing shoes is accessories, embellishments, or decorative ornaments. The development of trends in women's footwear products also includes the addition of accessories and decorations, which support the mindset of women in expressing themselves through fashion. In line with these conditions, the Indonesian Minister of Industry, Mr. Agus Gumiwang, said that the leather industry, which includes finished goods and footwear, grew positively by 13.12 percent in the second quarter of 2022. In this design, one of the potentials that will be developed for the leather footwear industry is by exploring and adding accessories as a form and identity and medium of expression of its users. By using the literature study method and analyzing the preferences of target users, it is found that one of the attractions of accessories lies in its application as a feature on the product. With the addition of the convertible feature, users are not easily bored with the look of the shoes and feel involved in choosing their appearance. Furthermore, using the methods of experimentation, design development, prototyping, and product testing, three series of women's shoe designs with a variety of shoe accessory features were produced, whose concepts were tailored to the target users.
