Abstract

Located in the center of the world's biodiversity, Indonesia is rich in marine biodiversity. However, the impact of human activities has caused damage to Indonesia's waters. Therefore, there is a need for public awareness of the urgency of conservation, especially in aquatic ecosystems. Oceanariums serve as recreational facilities that can provide education while delivering strong conservation messages to visitors. Just like at the BX Sea Oceanarium, visitors have the opportunity to observe, interact with, and learn about underwater ecosystems firsthand. Through the visiting experience at BX Sea Oceanarium, awareness of the importance of wildlife conservation can be conveyed to the general public from various backgrounds.
This research focuses on innovative interior design in the oceanarium exhibition zones, implementing an immersive approach to enhance the visitor experience while integrating interactive educational conservation messages. Through this approach, BX Sea Oceanarium is expected to increase visitor interest and strengthen awareness of marine conservation.
BX Sea Oceanarium is a public aquarium facility located in South Jakarta. This facility showcases a variety of marine life collections through various aquarium installations of various sizes. The potential of these installations can be enhanced to provide a more immersive visitor experience so that conservation education can be effectively conveyed to visitors.
