Abstract

PT PAL Indonesia merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur terbesar di Indonesia yang bergerak dalam bidang industri berat dengan spesialisasi pembuatan kapal sebagai produk utama. PT. PAL Indonesia sendiri memiliki luas lahan sekitar 120 hektar secara divisional dikelompokkan sebagai fasilitas produksi Kapal Niaga, Kapal Perang, Pemeliharaan dan Perbaikan, serta Rekayasa Umum. Saat ini PT. PAL Indonesia memiliki komposisi jumlah pegawai sebanyak 1.300-an karyawan tetap, 5.000 pekerja kontrak dan 2.000 pekerja sub kontraktor. Dalam aktivitasnya untuk berpindah dari satu tempat asal menuju tempat tujuan di dalam area konstruksi, terutama para pekerja sub kontraktor biasanya berjalan kaki, dan juga ada yang menggunakan truk pengangkut pekerja yang telah disediakan oleh PT. PAL Indonesia dan hal tersebut dikarenakan para pekerja sub kontraktor hanya dapat menggunakan dua cara tersebut dikarenakan untuk pekerja sub kontraktor tidak boleh menggunakan kendaraan pribadinya di area konstruksi. Armada truk pengangkut pekerja ini terbatas hanya 2 armada saja. Hal tersebut membuat para pekerja sub kontraktor merasa malas ketika ingin menaiki bus karena bus sering penuh. Transportasi publik yang baik harus memiliki kriteria kenyamanan dan keamanan. Tuk pengangkut pekerja saat ini menggunakan jenis badan kendaraan yang sebagian terbuka,sehingga penumpang tidak dapat sepenuhnya terlindungi dari asap kendaraan bermotor dan air hujan. Oleh karena itu, penulis merancang desain eksterior interior kendaraan microbus dalam area konstruksi PT. PAL Indonesia yang dapat membawa lebih banyak penumpang serta meningkatkan faktor kenyamanan dan keamanan.

PT PAL Indonesia is one of the largest manufacturing companies in Indonesia that operates in the heavy industry sector with shipbuilding as its main product. PT. PAL Indonesia itself has an area of about 120 hectares which is divisionally grouped as Commercial Ship, Warship, Maintenance and Repair, and General Engineering production facilities. Currently, PT. PAL Indonesia has a composition of 1,300 permanent employees, 5,000 contract workers and 2,000 subcontractor workers. In their activities to move from one place of origin to the destination in the construction area, especially the subcontractor workers usually walk, and there are also those who use the worker transport trucks provided by PT. PAL Indonesia and this is because the subcontractor workers can only use these two ways because the subcontractor workers are not allowed to use their private vehicles in the construction area. The fleet of worker transport trucks is limited to only 2 fleets. This makes the subcontractor workers feel lazy when they want to get on the bus because the bus is often full. Good public transportation must have comfort and safety criteria. The worker transport truck currently uses a type of vehicle body that is partially open, so that passengers cannot be fully protected from motor vehicle exhaust and rain. Therefore, the author designed the exterior interior design of a microbus vehicle in the construction area of PT. PAL Indonesia which can carry more passengers and increase comfort and safety factors.
