Abstract

PT PAL Indonesia mengalihfungsikan kantor divisi desain menjadi Pusat Informasi Industri Maritim sebagai langkah mendukung pengembangan wisata edukasi dan meningkatkan citra perusahaan. Pemindahan ini dilakukan untuk menjaga fasilitas PT PAL dan menyediakan pengetahuan tentang industri maritim. Dengan tujuan merayakan warisan maritim Indonesia, memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat, dan membangkitkan kebanggaan nasional melalui ruang pamer dalam Pusat Informasi. Dalam desain interior inovatif dan penerapan multimedia interaktif, Pusat Informasi menawarkan pengalaman mendalam bagi pengunjung. Melalui kajian literatur, studi pembanding, studi pengguna, analisis eksisting, dilanjutkan dengan proses analisis data menggunakan metode Design Thinking. Gagasan konsep yang diusung pada interior Pusat Informasi berupa pendekatan multimedia interaktif untuk menyampaikan informasi. Dengan metode ini, pengguna dapat menerima respons melalui berbagai elemen, termasuk teks, visual, audio, video, dan animasi. Serta memanfaatkan teknologi berupa virtual reality (VR) untuk menampilkan konten tertentu. Penerapan teknologi ini bertujuan menciptakan pengalaman yang lebih mendalam bagi pengunjung.

PT PAL Indonesia has converted the design division office into the Maritime Industry Information Center as a step to support the development of educational tourism and improve the company's image. This move was made to maintain PT PAL facilities and provide knowledge about the maritime industry. With the aim of celebrating Indonesia's maritime heritage, providing education to the public, and evoking national pride through the showrooms within the Information Center. In its innovative interior design and application of interactive multimedia, the Information Center offers an immersive experience for visitors. Through literature review, comparative study, user study, existing analysis, followed by data analysis process using Design Thinking method. The concept idea carried in the interior of the Information Center is an interactive multimedia approach to conveying information. With this method, users can receive responses through various elements, including text, visuals, audio, video and animation. As well as utilizing technology in the form of virtual reality (VR) to display certain content. The application of this technology aims to create a more immersive experience for visitors.
