Abstract

================================================================

Neuroarchitecture is a science that explores the relationship between neuroscience and architecture. It aims to create buildings and environments that support human well-being through various sensory principles (visual, tactile, auditory, olfactory, and gustatory). Neuroarchitecture principles applied in architectural design can stimulate brain nerves, resulting in positive effects such as feelings of security, comfort, calmness, and peace.
The principles of neuroarchitecture can be applied in two main ways: incorporating natural (or artificial) elements and utilizing existing natural elements. Incorporating natural elements is evident in building typologies that integrated with nature, such as those related to natural tourism and associated industries (lodging, tours, agents, transportation, etc.), like an ecolodges. An ecolodge serves as both accommodation and a vehicle for providing tourist experiences and education. Therefore, the primary objective of designing ecolodge is to enhance tourists' quality of life through the prioritization of visual neuroarchitecture principles.
The application of the theory through neuroarchitecture principles and a neuroscience-based approach is complemented by considerations of local context, natural conditions, user needs, and ecolodge criteria, aimed at creating a suitable ecolodge. It is hoped that such ecolodge designs can improve quality of life and human well-being.
