Abstract

Desa Wisata Sendang Duwur di Kabupaten Lamongan memiliki potensi kebudayaan
yang terdiri dari empat jenis budaya yaitu kerajinan lokal (batik, kerajinan emas dan perak,
bordir dan konveksi), kesenian (musik Jedor dan drama kolosal), makanan khas (Nasi Mudu
dan Langgi), dan bangunan bersejarah bernuansa religi yang kuat (Makam Sunan Sendang
Duwur, Masjid Raden Noer Rochmat, Sumur Giling, dan Gapura Paduraksa). Pengembangan
Desa Wisata Sendang Duwur masih terkendala karena rendahnya cultural identity yang terlihat
dari perbedaan persepsi dan kesan terhadap nilai kebudayaan yang membentuk identitas wisata
di Desa Sendang Duwur. Hal tersebut dikarenakan adanya permasalahan baik secara fisik
maupun non-fisik. Beberapa permasalahan yaitu kurangnya pengembangan potensi kebudayaan,
menurunnya minat masyarakat muda terhadap pelestarian kebudayaan, rendahnya pengalaman
dan pembelajaran budaya serta pengembangan produk kerajinan lokal, serta aspek fisik dan
penunjang yang belum memadai serta belum mencerminkan adanya nilai kebudayaan.
Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan strategi penguatan cultural identity dalam
pengembangan Desa Wisata Sendang Duwur dengan mengidentifikasi cultural identity,
mengidentifikasi dan mengukur variabel yang berpengaruh, serta merumuskan strategi
pengembangan berdasarkan variabel cultural identity. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis
deskriptif kualitatif, content analysis, skoring skala likert, dan analisis SWOT. Penelitian ini
menghasilkan strategi diantaranya yaitu mengoptimalkan beragam budaya secara menyeluruh,
memvisualisasikan nilai seni pada setiap aspek, memperkuat branding melalui sosial media dan
upaya kolaborasi, pemeliharaan dan pemugaran situs cagar budaya, peningkatan pelaksanaan
event budaya, hingga menyediakan fasilitas untuk cultural learning, cultural experience dan
creative performance.

Sendang Duwur Tourism Village in Lamongan Regency has cultural potential consisting
of four types of culture, namely local crafts, arts, typical foods, and historical buildings with
strong religious nuances. The development of Sendang Duwur Tourism Village is still
constrained due to the low cultural identity which can be seen from the difference in perception
and impression of the cultural values that form the tourism identity in Sendang Duwur Village.
This is due to problems both physically and non-physically. Some of the problems are the lack
of development of cultural potential, the declining interest of young people in cultural
preservation, the low experience and learning of culture and the development of local handicraft
products, as well as physical and supporting aspects that are inadequate and do not reflect the
existence of cultural values.
This study aims to determine a strategy for strengthening cultural identity in the
development of Sendang Duwur Tourism Village by identifying cultural identity, identifying
and measuring influential variables, and formulating development strategies based on cultural
identity variables. The methods used include qualitative descriptive analysis, content analysis,
Likert scale scoring, and SWOT analysis. This research resulted in strategies including
optimizing diverse cultures, visualizing the value of art in every aspect, strengthening branding
through social media and collaboration efforts, maintaining and restoring cultural heritage sites,
and providing facilities for cultural learning, cultural experience and creative performance.
