Abstract

Cow's milk has a vital role in meeting human nutritional needs with essential nutritional content such as protein, fat, vitamins and minerals. The increase in cow's milk production in Indonesia, especially in East Java, creates opportunities and challenges in the milk processing industry. This industry requires high quality raw materials, and farmers are important partners. The Indonesian National Standard specifies 15 cow's milk quality parameters, including those most frequently used in field practice, namely Milk Density and pH. Good milk quality is vital for maintaining the quality of processed products, such as ready-to-drink (UHT) milk. However, there are challenges related to the existence of many inappropriate practices that aim to circumvent these various quality parameters. This research aims to overcome the problem of manual milk quality testing at the Agro Niaga Cooperative, Kemiri Village, Malang Regency. The testing process and recording of test results, which is currently still done manually, presents risks and limited efficiency. Therefore, this research proposes an automation device for testing milk quality and recording the results. This solution is integrated into monitoring applications to make monitoring easier. The main problem addressed was a manual process that involved significant time and effort. This automation process will increase accuracy efficiency, and can provide significant benefits for farmers and dairy cooperatives. Thus, this research aims to make a positive contribution to the development of the dairy industry and the welfare of farmers.
