Abstract

Penelitian ini mengangkat suatu masalah dimana pembelajaran matematika menggunakan media pembelajaran biasa dirasa membosankan untuk siswa yang mempelajarinya. Penelitian ini berupaya memberi solusi dengan dilaksanakannya pembuatan media gim untuk pembelajaran materi matematika menggunakan RPG Maker MV yang kemudian akan dijalankan di perangkat Android. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membuat media pembelajaran yang lebih menarik daripada media pembelajaran biasa, beserta meningkatkan kemampuan matematis siswa dari menggunakannya. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan peningkatan kemampuan matematis siswa, dan siswa lebih tertarik pada materi saat digunakan media gim dalam pembelajarannya.

This research addresses the issue where learning mathematics using conventional teaching media is perceived as boring by the students. This study attempts to provide a solution
by creating a game-based learning media for teaching mathematics using RPG Maker MV, which will then be run on Android devices. This research aims to create a more engaging learning media compared to traditional teaching methods and to enhance students` mathematical abilities through its use. The results of this research show an improvement in students` mathematical abilities, and students are more interested in the subject when game-based media is used in their learning.
