Abstract

Melihat begitu besarnya potensi yang dimiliki oleh Yogyakarta dari segi pariwisata dan jumlah wisatawan yang terus meningkat, di mana hal tersebut sesuai dengan data yang diterbitkan oleh Kementerian Pariwisata pada tahun 2017, yang menyebutkan bahwa Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu tujuan wisata terkemuka di Indonesia, bersaing dengan kota-kota seperti Jakarta dan Bandung. Sehingga, seiring berjalannya waktu, kebutuhan dan preferensi akomodasi pun menjadi semakin beragam, salah satunya yang masih menjadi pilihan para wisatawan adalah hotel. The Amartya Hotel Yogyakarta memiliki lokasi yang cukup strategis dan memiliki banyak potensi untuk dikembangkan, terlebih lagi citranya sebagai hotel butik menjadi aspek penting untuk menyediakan pelayanan dan pengalaman terbaik untuk para pengunjungnya.
Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk merancang ulang desain interior lobby The Amartya Hotel Yogyakarta guna meningkatkan exposure dan daya tarik pengunjung dengan memberikan solusi berupa one-stop entertainment serta pengimplementasian gaya kontemporer. Konsep tersebut juga dirancang agar selaras dengan visi dan misi hotel yang mengedepankan kreativitas, tren kekinian, inovasi, kenyamanan, dan teknologi. Sehingga, penerapan konsep baru ini diharapkan dapat menarik minat target utama The Amartya Hotel yaitu kaum muda masa kini.
Metode yang digunakan dalam perancangan ini yaitu menggunakan design thinking yang terdiri dari empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Berawal dari pengumpulan data melalui survei dan observasi ke objek secara langsung, melakukan wawancara dan kuesioner untuk merumuskan masalah, menganalisis serta mendefinisikan ide awal. Langkah-langkah tersebut dilanjutkan dengan melakukan ideasi untuk menghasilkan prototype dari implementasi konsep, lalu untuk mengetahui tingkat optimal keseluruhan desain dilakukan uji validasi desain. Hasil dari perancangan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan ide konsep baru yang sesuai dengan harapan pengunjung dan pihak hotel, serta menjadi solusi akan permasalahan yang ada pada eksisting.

It is evident that Yogyakarta holds considerable potential in the field of tourism and that the number of tourists is continuously on the rise. This is in accordance with data published by the Ministry of Tourism in 2017, which reports that Yogyakarta is one of the leading tourist destinations in Indonesia, competing with cities such as Jakarta and Bandung. Consequently, the accommodation needs and preferences of tourists have evolved, resulting in a diversification of choice. One such option is the hotel, which continues to attract visitors to the area. The Amartya Hotel Yogyakarta is strategically positioned, with significant potential for future growth. Furthermore, the establishment's image as a boutique hotel is an integral aspect of its service provision and the visitor experience it offers.
The objective of this design is to enhance the interior of The Amartya Hotel Yogyakarta’s lobby, thereby raising its profile and appeal among visitors. This will be achieved by offering a one-stop entertainment concept and implementing a contemporary style. Furthermore, the concept is aligned with the hotel's vision and mission, which emphasize creativity, trends, innovation, comfort, and technology. It is expected that the implementation of this new concept will attract the interest of the Amartya Hotel's main target demographic, consisting of the younger generation.
This design employs a design thinking approach, comprising the following steps: empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test. The process begins with data collection, which includes surveys and observations of the object. This is followed by the formulation of problems, analysis, and the definition of initial ideas, which are then tested through interviews and questionnaires. Subsequently, ideation is employed to generate a prototype of the conceptualized implementation. This is followed by a design validation test, which is conducted with the objective of ascertaining the optimal level of the overall design. It is anticipated that the results of this design will yield novel concept ideas that align with the expectations of visitors and the hotel, while also providing a solution to the existing problems.
