Subak is a cultural heritage of the Balinese community, an irrigation system organization
for rice fields based on the concept of Tri Hita Karana. The Subak Museum serves as a medium
to showcase this cultural heritage to younger generations and as a tourist attraction. The
museum faces challenges such as declining visitor numbers in recent years and not meeting
visitor expectations as an educational and recreational facility. Additionally, uneven tourism
distribution in Bali necessitates considering sustainable tourism in the development of the
Subak Museum.
Enhance interest in learning about the cultural heritage of Subak and to the appeal of the
Subak Museum, a study proposes solutions through the development of the museum's interior
design using the design thinking method. Data collection techniques include observations and
questionnaires. The study resulted in the application of interactive learning methods through
the implementation of the edutainment concept, adapted to sustainable tourism. This aims to
provide a memorable experience for visitors, maximizing the absorption of information or
knowledge about the museum, and increasing the attractiveness and frequency of repeat visits
to the Subak Museum.
