Abstract
Pergudangan adalah bagian penting dari sebuah proses manufakturing dimana Manajemen warehouse yang ideal akan meningkatkan perbaikan logistik perusahaan dimasa yang krisis.
Namun, PT. XYZ mengalami kendala dalam menerapkan sistem pergudangan yang ideal tersebut. Dimana sistem di pergudangan PT. XYZ masih belum bisa menyajikan sisitem data yang baik, waktu sistem dalam memproses suatu data juga cukup lama, dan akurasi data yang diisi dan ditampilkan tidak sesuai sehingga data stok tidak bisa dijadikan acuan oleh manajemen. Dalam sistem persediaan untuk proses selanjutnya gudang PT.XYZ melakukan sistem produksi maket to stock dan make to order. Namun, akibat pandemi yang terjadi banyak proses produksi mengalami overstock dan understock dikarenakan permintaan buyer yang fluktuatif. Bahkan, stok gudang mencapai 9 juta meter dimana rata-rata stok hanya 3 sampai 4 juta meter. Tesis ini berfokus pada permasalahan administrasi pergudangan dan solusi yang diterapkan menggunakan sistem administrasi berbasis Excel dengan pendekatan terintegrasi dari metode Design Thinking, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), dan Period Order Quantity (POQ). Dimana gudang pada perusahaan XYZ memiliki permasalahan terkait jumlah stok yang meningkat dikarenakan belum adanya forecasting permintaan buyer dari marketing dan belum adanya sistem manajemen stok gudang yang mumpuni mengakibatkan tidak tercapainya sasaran mutu gudang terutama di bagian akurasi stok.
Administrasi pergudangan melibatkan manajemen stok dan pesanan dan adanya tesis ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas proses administrasi di gudang dengan pendekatan Design Thinking yaitu Emphatize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, dan Test. Penelitian ini mencari pemahaman mendalam tentang permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh pergudangan dan menciptakan solusi yang berfokus pada pengguna. Selanjutnya, metode EOQ dan POQ digunakan untuk mengoptimalkan pengelolaan stok dan pesanan. EOQ membantu menentukan jumlah pemesanan yang ekonomis yang harus dilakukan, sementara POQ mempertimbangkan variabilitas permintaan dalam penentuan jadwal pesanan.
Hasil dari tesis ini menunjukkan dengan Design Thinking didapatkan bahwa kebutuhan dari user adalah penggunaan sistem aplikasi yang lebih mudah dan standar pengisian stok sehingga akurasi stok lebih dijaga. Untuk penggunaan metode EOQ dan POQ didapatkan penggunaan metode ini dapat menghemat banyak biaya persediaan dan memaksimalkan pengambilan barang sehingga lebih efektif dan efisien daripada metode yang dipakai oleh perusahaan PT. XYZ.

Warehouse management is a critical component of the manufacturing process where an ideal warehouse management system can improve a company's logistics during a crisis.
However, PT. XYZ faces challenges in implementing such an ideal warehouse system. The current system at PT. XYZ's warehouse is unable to provide reliable data management, the processing time for data is quite long, and the accuracy of the input and displayed data is not consistent, making the stock data unreliable for management decisions. In its inventory system, PT. XYZ's warehouse employs both make-to-stock and make-to-order production systems. However, due to the pandemic, many production processes have experienced overstock and understock situations because of fluctuating buyer demands. The warehouse stock has even reached 9 million meters, while the average stock is usually only 3 to 4 million meters.
This thesis focuses on warehouse administration issues and the solutions applied using an Excel-based administrative system with an integrated approach from Design Thinking, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), and Period Order Quantity (POQ) methods. The warehouse at XYZ company faces problems related to increasing stock levels due to the absence of buyer demand forecasting from marketing and the lack of a robust warehouse stock management system, resulting in the failure to achieve warehouse quality targets, especially in stock accuracy.
Warehouse administration involves stock and order management, and this thesis aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative processes in the warehouse using the Design Thinking approach, which includes Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. This research seeks a deep understanding of the problems faced by the warehouse and creates user-focused solutions. Subsequently, the EOQ and POQ methods are used to optimize stock and order management. EOQ helps determine the economical order quantity that should be made, while POQ considers demand variability in scheduling orders.
The results of this thesis indicate that with Design Thinking, the users' needs are identified as the use of a more user-friendly application system and standard stock entry procedures to maintain stock accuracy. The use of EOQ and POQ methods shows that these methods can save significant inventory costs and maximize item retrieval, making them more effective and efficient compared to the methods currently employed by PT. XYZ.
