Abstract
penurunan 24,560%. Sebaliknya, sudut 45° menghasilkan nilai tahanan dan respon gerak roll terbesar. Analisis data
========================================================================================================================This research aims to analyze the effect of bilge keel angle change on resistance and roll motion response on Landing
Craft Utility (LCU) ship using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method. Four models will be simulated in this
research with three of them using bilge keel with bilge keel angle variations, namely, 15°, 30°, and 45°. The simulation
results show that the bilge keel angle variation of 15° has the smallest resistance value and roll motion response compared to
other angle variations. The smallest resistance value at an angle of 15° is 12.02 N with an increase of 3.027% compared to
without bilge keel, and the roll response is 1.570° with a decrease of 24.560%. In contrast, the 45° angle produces the largest
resistance value and roll response. Data analysis shows that the smaller the bilge keel tilt angle, the smaller the resistance
value and roll motion response. The bilge keel configuration at angle of 15° is the recommended configuration considering
the resistance value and roll motion value of the ship, compared to the two bilge keel angle variations of 30° and 45°.
