Abstract
Propulsi elektrik merupakan jenis penggerak yang mengalami banyak kemajuan dan mulai digunakan pada beberapa tipe kendaraan. Pada kapal sendiri, propulsi eletrik baru banyak digunakan pada kapal-kapal yang berukuran kecil karena kebutuhan power mereka tidak terlalu besar. Pada kapal patroli 11 meter WDS WINDSOR II contohnya, penggerak elektrik ini sudah dikombinasikan dengan penggerak konvensional dan menjadikannya sistem propulsi hybrid. Pada penelitian sebelumnya (Rosi, 2023) cakupan durasi yang mampu dicapai dengan sistem elektrik pada kapal ini adalah 72 menit dari target 120 menit dengan kecepatan 30 knot. Sebagai usaha mencapai target durasi, dilakukanlah penelitian ini dengan menganalisa bagaimana efek dari tambahan genset terhadap durasi yang mampu dicapai oleh kapal. Pada penelitian ini, dengan menggunakan usage rate baterai dan charging rate dari genset didapatkan power dari genset sebesar 130 kW, 104 kW, 83 kW, 69 kW, 62 kW, 56 kW dan 52 kW. Terdapat 2 power yang memenuhi kebutuhan daya baterai melebihi dari 72 menit durasi yang tercapai pada penelitian sebelumnya, yaitu pada power 130 dan 104 kW. Power sisanya tidak mampu memenuhi kebutuhan baterai karena power yang disuplai kurang dari usage rate baterai, sehingga kondisi baterai sudah kosong pada menit ke 70-72 dan power yang disuplai genset tidak cukup untuk mengisi baterai.

Electric propulsion is a type of propulsion that has experienced many advances and has begun to be used in several types of vehicles. On the ship itself, the new electric propulsion is widely used on ships that are small because their power requirements are not too large. On the 11-meter patrol boat WDS WINDSOR II, for example, this electric propulsion has been combined with conventional propulsion and makes it a hybrid propulsion system. In the previous study (Rosi, 2023) the duration coverage that can be achieved with the electrical system on this ship is 72 minutes from the target of 120 minutes at a speed of 30 knots. As an effort to achieve the target duration, this study was conducted by analyzing how the effect of additional generators to the duration that can be achieved by the ship. In this study, using the battery usage rate and charging rate of the generator set obtained power from the generator set of 130 kW, 104 kW, 83 kW, 69 kW, 62 kW, 56 kW and 52 kW. There are 2 power that meets the needs of battery power exceeding the 72 minutes duration achieved in the previous study, namely at a power of 130 and 104 kW. The remaining power is not able to meet the needs of the battery because the power supplied is less than the battery usage rate, so the condition of the battery is already empty at 70-72 minutes and the power supplied by the generator is not enough to charge the battery.
