Abstract

This project aims to design two different types of residential buildings: a 2-storey house in Denpasar, Bali, and a boarding house in Gayungsari, Surabaya. The design of the 2-storey house in Denpasar takes into account local factors such as the tropical climate, Balinese culture, and the functional needs of a modern family. This design includes spaces such as living rooms, family rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and open areas that maximize air circulation and natural light. Meanwhile, the design of the boarding house in Gayungsari focuses on space efficiency and occupant comfort with a modular concept that allows for flexible use of space. Planned facilities include boarding rooms, communal areas, a shared kitchen, and parking areas. The project employs Biophilic and Industrial design approaches. The design method involves user needs analysis, site studies, and the application of modern architectural principles. The results of these two designs are expected to provide comfortable, functional, and aesthetic housing solutions that align with the characteristics and needs of each location
