Abstract

The number of waste disposal sites (TPS) in Mojokerto district is relatively small compared to the population. Existing waste disposal sites in Mojokerto district only cover 21% of the population. This makes the need for research to determine the location of new waste disposal sites. The purpose of this study was to formulate criteria for determining the location of waste stations, determine the area of Mojokerto Regency that is suitable for waste stations, and determine the optimal location of waste stations. The research method used is a quantitative method with a spatial approach. The analysis includes AHP analysis for weighting criteria, weighted overlay analysis to determine the appropriate location, market share analysis (Huff Gravity Model) to determine the range of Exisiting Waste TPS and finally intersect between the results of weighter overlay analysis and market share to determine the optimal location for Waste TPS. The results showed that the variable with the highest weight was the road network, while the variable with the lowest weight was the land slope. The weighted overlay analysis resulted in 20.8% of Mojokerto district being suitable for waste disposal sites. However, existing waste stations can only reach 5.45% of the built-up area, leaving 19.73% of the built-up area unreached. The results of this analysis indicate that 18.16% of Mojokerto district is the optimal location for the construction of new waste stations.
