Abstract
Ekosistem mangrove di kawasan pesisir merupakan sumber daya alam yang penting namun rentan terhadap perubahan iklim dan aktivitas manusia. Di Indonesia, terjadi penurunan signifikan luas hutan mangrove, termasuk di Provinsi Lampung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik karbon berupa fluks pertukaran CO2 dengan mengukur nilai konsentrasi CO2, dan karbon yang tersimpan dalam biomassa vegetasi mangrove berupa nilai above ground biomass (AGB) di Hutan Mangrove Petengoran, Lampung. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk melihat apakah faktor iklim mikro berupa intensitas sinar matahari dan curah hujan dapat mempengaruhi konsentrasi CO2. Data biomassa diperoleh menggunakan teknik non-destruktif disertai sampling kuadran pada empat zona berbeda di lokasi penelitian, yang lalu dihitung menggunakan persamaan allometrik. Sementara itu, tingkat konsentrasi CO2 diukur menggunakan perangkat gas analyzer dengan metode eddy covariance. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kawasan ini memiliki penyimpanan karbon dalam AGB yang tergolong sedang (80,804 ton C/ha). Diperoleh pula nilai rata-rata dari data iklim mikro berupa curah hujan (0,03 mm) dan intensitas sinar matahari (383,4 W/m2) selama periode pengamatan. Saat diuji korelasinya dengan konsentrasi CO2 menggunakan uji korelasi Kendall tau, konsentrasi CO2 dan intensitas sinar matahari terlihat memiliki korelasi negatif lemah (-0,316), sementara konsentrasi CO2 dan curah hujan tidak memiliki korelasi antara satu sama lain (-0,021). Dalam pengambilan data biomassa diperoleh pula data vegetasi mangrove yang menunjukkan bahwa kawasan Hutan Mangrove Petengoran memiliki kerapatan yang tergolong jarang (992 pohon/ha).

Mangrove ecosystems in coastal areas are important natural resources but are vulnerable to climate change and human activities. In Indonesia, there has been a significant decline in the area of mangrove forests, including in Lampung Province. This research aims to identify the characteristics of blue carbon that are limited to carbon flux from CO2 exchange in form of CO2 concentration and carbon stored in mangrove vegetetation biomass in the form of above ground biomass (AGB) in the Petengoran Mangrove Forest. It also aims to find out whether microclimate factors in the form of sunlight intensity and rainfall can influence it. Data collection was carried out in four different zones at the research location. Biomass data was obtained using non-destructive techniques accompanied by quadrant sampling and calculations using allometric equations, while CO2 concentration levels were measured using an eddy covariance device. The research results show that the Petengoran Mangrove Forest area has moderate carbon storage in above-ground biomass (80,804 tons C/ha). Also obtained were the average values of microclimate data in the form of rainfall (0.03 mm) and sunlight intensity (383.4 W/m2) during the observation period. When tested for correlation with CO2 concentration using the Kendall tau correlation test, CO2 concentration and sunlight intensity appear to have a weak negative correlation (-0.316), while CO2 concentration and rainfall have no correlation with each other (-0.021). In collecting biomass data, mangrove vegetation data was also obtained which showed that the density of Petengoran Mangrove Forest area was classified as rare (992 trees/ha).
