Abstract
Kereta api merupakan moda transportasi darat menggunakan jalan rel yang efisien dan efektif. Namun, kereta api menimbulkan kebisingan yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat, salah satu sumber kebisingan utamanya adalah rolling noise yang terjadi karena roda yang bergesekan dengan rel kereta api. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan nilai sound transmission loss dari variasi serat rami, serat sabut kelapa, dan sekam padi sebagai material tambahan susunan lantai kereta api. Pada penelitian ini, pengukuran STL menggunakan metode dua ruangan, yaitu: Semi Anechoic Room sebagai ruang sumber dan Reverberation Room sebagai ruang penerima sesuai ASTM-E90. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan menggunakan sumber white noise dari frekuensi 125 hingga 4000 Hz. Terdapat 14 variasi susunan material Panel Sandwich yang akan diuji. Serat alam digunakan sebagai material tambahan Panel Sandwich pada lantai kereta api untuk meningkatkan nilai STL. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa panel dengan susunan serat sabut kelapa memiliki nilai STL tertinggi berkisar antara 23,9 – 57,7 dB, diikuti oleh panel dengan susunan sekam padi yang memiliki nilai STL berkisar antara 17,7 – 53,4 dB, dan panel susunan serat rami yang terendah dengan nilai STL berkisar antara 12,7 – 52,5 dB. Lalu dengan variasi triplek, panel susunan sekam padi memiliki nilai STL tertinggi bekisar antara 16,5 – 54,3 dB, disusul oleh panel dengan serat sabut kelapa yang memiliki nilai STL bekisar antara 14,6 – 53,7 dB, dan panel susunan serat rami tetap terendah dengan nilai STL berkisar antara 14,1 – 50,9 dB.

Trains are an efficient and effective mode of land transportation using rail roads. However, trains cause noise which is felt by the public, one of the main sources of noise is rolling noise which occurs due to wheels rubbing against the train tracks. The aim of this research is to determine the effect and value of sound transmission loss from variations of ramie fiber, coconut fiber, and rice husks as additional materials for train flooring. In this study, STL measurements used a two-room method, namely: Semi Anechoic Room as the source room and Reverberation Room as the receiver room according to ASTM-E90. Measurements were carried out using a white noise source from a frequency of 125 to 4000 Hz. There are 14 variations of Sandwich Panel material arrangements that will be tested. Natural fibers are used as additional material for Sandwich Panels on train floors to increase the STL value. The measurement results show that panels with a coconut fiber composition have the highest STL values ranging from 23.9 – 57.7 dB, followed by panels with a composition of rice husks which have STL values ranging between 17.7 – 53.4 dB, and panels with an arrangement of ramie fiber is the lowest with an STL value ranging from 12.7 – 52.5 dB. Then with the plywood variation, rice husk panels have the highest STL values ranging from 16.5 - 54.3 dB, followed by panels with coconut fiber which have STL values ranging from 14.6 - 53.7 dB, and ramie fiber panels remains the lowest with STL values ranging from 14.1 – 50.9 dB.
