Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas sistem kontrol kualitas air untuk budidaya lobster air tawar (Cherax quadricarinatus) dengan tujuan meningkatkan efisiensi produksi. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah tantangan dalam industri budidaya lobster air tawar terkait fluk-tuasi produksi dan permintaan pasar yang tidak terpenuhi. Sistem yang dikembangkan memanfaatkan kontrol terhadap suhu air, pH, kekeruhan, dan oksigen terlarut sebagai parameter kunci yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan lobster. Analisis kinerja sistem di-lakukan untuk mengevaluasi kemampuan sistem dalam menjaga parameter-parameter ini pada level yang optimal. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa lobster yang dipelihara dalam kondisi yang terkontrol secara signifikan mempercepat masa panen hingga 15 hari lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan lobster yang dipelihara dalam kondisi tanpa pengawasan sistematis. Penemuan ini menawarkan pendekatan praktis untuk meningkatkan produk-tivitas dan keberlanjutan budidaya lobster air tawar melalui integrasi teknologi kontrol kualitas air yang canggih

This research discusses the water quality control system for cultivating freshwater lobsters (Cherax quadricarinatus) with the aim of increasing production efficiency. The background to this research is the challenges in the freshwater lobster cultivation industry related to production fluctuations and unmet market demand. The system developed utilizes control of water temperature, pH, turbidity and dissolved oxygen as key parameters that influence lobster growth. System performance analysis is carried out to evaluate the system's ability to maintain these parameters at optimal levels. Experimental results show that lobsters kept in controlled conditions significantly speed up the harvest period up to 15 days faster compared to lobsters kept in conditions without systematic supervision. This discovery offers a practical approach to increasing the productivity and sustainability of freshwater crayfish farming through the integration of advanced water quality control technology
