Abstract

Budaya kerja merupakan faktor penting dalam industri konveksi, termasuk di Industri Konveksi Finest Garment yang berlokasi di Surabaya, Jakarta, dan Malang. Industri ini memproduksi berbagai jenis pakaian seperti kemeja, polo, kaos, seragam, dan jersey sesuai permintaan pelanggan. Keberhasilan industri dipengaruhi oleh budaya kerja yang diterapkan karyawan. Namun, perilaku negatif seperti kelalaian, kemalasan, dan ketidakpatuhan terhadap kebijakan menghambat produktivitas. Industri Konveksi Finest Garment belum memiliki budaya kerja yang kuat sejak didirikan, yang diperburuk oleh kurangnya kebijakan yang mengatur hak dan kewajiban karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan membantu menciptakan budaya kerja yang baik di Industri Konveksi Finest Garment. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling untuk pengumpulan data, dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Industri Konveksi Finest Garment memiliki budaya kerja dengan empat nilai utama: disiplin, kerja sama, komunikasi, dan kinerja. Disiplin diterapkan melalui aturan ketat seperti larangan penggunaan ponsel saat jam kerja dan menjaga kebersihan. Kerja sama diwujudkan melalui dorongan terhadap ide kreatif dan kolaborasi. Komunikasi dilakukan dengan budaya keterbukaan untuk mendorong komunikasi jujur. Kinerja dipromosikan melalui penerapan keseimbangan kerja-hidup (work-life balance). Pelaksanaan budaya kerja didukung oleh sistem sidik jari untuk memantau kehadiran, peran direktur dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang baik, dan kolaborasi antar karyawan. Namun, beberapa faktor seperti ketidaknyamanan terhadap perubahan, keterlambatan, dan respons karyawan terhadap teknologi baru menghambat implementasi budaya kerja ini. Kebijakan tertulis yang ada diharapkan semakin efektif dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang positif di masa depan.

Work culture is a crucial factor in the garment industry, including Finest Garment, which operates in Surabaya, Jakarta, and Malang. This industry produces various types of clothing, such as shirts, polos, t-shirts, uniforms, and jerseys, according to customer demands. The industry's success is influenced by the work culture implemented by its employees. However, negative behaviors such as negligence, laziness, and policy non-compliance hinder productivity. Finest Garment has not had a strong work culture since its establishment, exacerbated by the lack of policies regulating employee rights and obligations. This research aims to identify and help create a good work culture at Finest Garment. The method used is qualitative with purposive sampling for data collection, analyzed descriptively. The results show that Finest Garment has a work culture encompassing four main values: discipline, cooperation, communication, and performance. Discipline is enforced through strict rules, such as prohibiting the use of mobile phones during working hours and maintaining cleanliness. Cooperation is realized through the encouragement of creative ideas and collaboration. Communication is practiced through an open culture that fosters honest communication. Performance is promoted through the implementation of work-life balance. Implementing this work culture is supported by a fingerprint system to monitor attendance, the director’s role in creating a positive work environment, and employee collaboration. However, several factors, such as discomfort with changes, tardiness, and employees’ responsiveness to new technology, hinder the implementation of this work culture. The existing written policies are expected to become increasingly effective in enhancing productivity and creating a positive work environment in the future.
