Abstract

Groundwater is a natural resource that is very important for people's lives which is often used for daily needs. However, some areas have experienced difficulties in clean water, one of which is Madiun Regency. To overcome drought, groundwater exploration is needed in areas affected by drought. This study aims to find the potential for groundwater sources in Madiun Regency using the Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) method using the Schlumberger configuration. Measurements were carried out in Dawuhan Village, Kuwu Village, Tapelan Village, Ngetrep Village, and Segulung Village. Each village was measured geoelectrically at 2 points. VES measurement data was processed using IPI2win software to obtain the original subsurface resistivity value. Furthermore, this resistivity value is used to indicate the potential of groundwater reservoirs. The results of the data interpretation showed that the groundwater potential at the Dawuhan 1 point at a depth of 10.13-18.17 m was in the form of a tuff sand layer, Ngetrep 1 at a depth of 1.8-4.8 m and 22.6 – 46.3 m along with Ngetrep 2 at a depth of 1.3 – 5.3 m and 14.3 – 41.3 m was a layer of clay sand, Segulung 1 at a depth of 5.06 – 12.4 m and 37.6 – 99.6 m respectively are layers of breccia sand and tuffaceous sand, Segulung 2 at a depth of 33.1 – 50.1 m is breccia sand, and Tapelan 2 at a depth of 23.1 – 45.1 m is thought to be a layer of clay sand
