Abstract
============================================================
The labor force participation rate is the percentage of the population aged 15 years and over who are in the labor force, namely those who are employed, have a job but are temporarily unemployed, and are unemployed. The labor force participation rate indicates the size of the economically active working age population in a country or region. One of them is Sulawesi Island, which is the third most populous island in Indonesia. Sulawesi Island is home to a population of 20,304,400 people. The number of female residents on Sulawesi Island is not much different from the number of male residents. This shows that the potential contribution of female to the economy should be significant, but in reality it shows that their involvement is still lagging behind. This is reflected in the value of the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) for female on Sulawesi Island which is only 51.42 percent, much lower than the LFPR for men of 83.56 percent. Apart from that, the value of female's LFPR on Sulawesi Island experienced stagnation in 2018-2022. So in this research, it is necessary to analyze female's LFPR on Sulawesi Island using panel data regression. The panel data regression method was used in this research because it involved cross section data, namely female's LFPR data for each district/city on Sulawesi Island and time series data because we wanted to observe female's LFPR which did not differ much from year to year. The results of the analysis show that the best model for modeling the Female Labor Force Participation Level on Sulawesi Island is the individual time FEM model. This model has an R-square value of 82% and has two significant variables, namely the average number of years of schooling for female and the percentage of the productive age population.
