Abstract

Dalam industri Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO), spare part merupakan aset yang menjadi fondasi berlangsungnya operasi perusahaan. Ketersediaannya sangat vital untuk menjaga produksi terus berlangsung dan mendatangkan keuntungan untuk perusahaan. Untuk itu, memastikan ketersediaan spare part di awal mulainya operasi perusahaan baru merupakan salah satu poin terpenting sebelum produksi berjalan. Case study report ini akan memberikan panduan dalam menentukan spare part apa saja yang harus disediakan di awal operasi sebuah kilang LNG dengan mempertimbangkan reliability kilang dan investasi yang dikeluarkan dalam proses pengadaannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah model simulasi Monte Carlo dengan pembangkitan bilangan acak berdasarkan pola distribusi yang disimulasikan dalam software Arena. Metode ini dapat digunakan untuk menentukan pembelian inventori awal untuk part yang bernilai tinggi namun termasuk dalam kategori slow moving inventory.

In Maintenance, Repair & Operation/Overhaul (MRO), spare part is an asset that becomes foundation for continuous organization’s operation. Its availability is vital to keep secure safe operational and the plant production. Therefore, it is very important to provide spare part readiness in the beginning of new plant production. This case study report will offer an alternative guideline in determining which part must be procured before plant start up, bring into consideration the plant reliability and cost of investment of the procurement. Method used is Monte Carlo simulation by generating random number based on distribution model resulted from Arena simulation software. This method can be used to determine the initial inventory procurement for high value parts yet categorized as slow-moving inventory. In the end of the day, spare part management can be optimally performed in terms of timely availability and cost, supporting the equipment and plant reliability.
