Abstract

Klasifikasi shale gas dilakukan di daerah penelitian yang terletak di Area Blackcat, Formasi Talangakar, Cekungan Sumatra Selatan untuk mengetahui zona mana yang mempunyai potensi shale gas yang paling baik. Penelitian dilakukan dengan skala sumuran dan terdiri dari 5 sumur yaitu Sumur Blackcat 1, Sumur Blackcat 2, Sumur Blackcat 3, Sumur Blackcat 4, dan Sumur Blackcat 5. Klasifikasi dilakukan berdasarkan klasifikasi shale gas Gaffney&Cline Association pada tahun 2013 dan dibatasi hanya pada parameter petrofisika dan geokimia. Berdasarkan analisis petrofisika dan geokimia yang dilakukan, didapatkan bahwa sumur yang mempunyai potensi yang paling baik untuk menjadi shale gas adalah sumur Blackcat 1 pada semua zona. Lalu dengan menimbang ketebalan Zona C yang paling tebal di antara zona lainnya, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Sumur Blackcat 1 Zona C merupakan zona yang memiliki potensi shale gas terbaik

Shale gas classification was carried out in the research area located in the Blackcat Area, Talangakar Formation, South Sumatra Basin to find out which zone has the best shale gas potential. The research was carried out on a well scale and consisted of 5 wells, namely Blackcat 1 Well, Blackcat 2 Well, Blackcat 3 Well, Blackcat 4 Well, and Blackcat 5 Well. Classification was carried out based on the Gaffney & Cline Association shale gas classification in 2013 and was limited only to petrophysical parameters and geochemistry. Based on the petrophysical and geochemical analysis carried out, it was found that the well that has the best potential to become shale gas is the Blackcat 1 well in all zones. Then, by considering the thickness of Zone C, which is the thickest among the other zones, it can be concluded that the Blackcat 1 Zone C Well is the zone that has the best shale gas potential
