Abstract
Di era Revolusi industry 4.0 yang dimulai pada tahun 2011, teknologi berkembang pesat untuk mempermudah pekerjaan manusia dan meningkatkan efisiensi. Inovasi yang paling menggemparkan dunia pada saat ini yaitu teknologi aplikasi yang berbasis Artificial Intelligence. AI meniru kecerdasan manusia dengan memahami, belajar, dan mengambil keputusan berdasarkan data, bahkan mampu melakukan self-correction. Kecerdasan buatan memiliki potensi besar untuk memberikan kontribusi positif, terutama dalam menghadapi tantangan seperti efisiensi waktu dan penyelesaian tugas berat. Generasi Z terutama bagi anak SMP Indonesia seharusnya sudah mulai belajar teknologi AI ini karena teknologi AI ini berkembang sangat pesat dan dunia kerja akan beradaptasi dengan teknologi AI pada tahun 2030. Sebagian besar remaja SMP belum mengenal AI, dan di antara yang sudah memahami penggunaannya, banyak yang belum menyadari dampak negatif yang dapat ditimbulkan oleh teknologi ini. Di samping manfaat yang diperoleh, penggunaan AI tanpa pemahaman yang bijak dapat menimbulkan masalah seperti data yang kurang valid, isu hak cipta, dan ketergantungan pada AI yang dapat mengurangi keterampilan berpikir kritis. Edukasi mengenai pemanfaatan AI telah disebarluaskan oleh berbagai instansi seperti Kominfo, Direktorat SMP, dan Kemendikbudristek melalui media sosial, website, dan platform YouTube. Namun, konten edukasi ini sering kali kurang menarik perhatian, terutama bagi anak-anak SMP. Pengetahuan siswa SMP tentang AI masih kurang, baik dalam hal pengenalan teknologi maupun pemahaman dampak yang ditimbulkan. Melihat pentingnya kegunaan AI di kalangan anak SMP, maka perlu adanya edukasi terkait pemanfaatan AI supaya mereka lebih mengoptimalkan AI untuk kegiatan belajar. Penggunaan animasi sebagai media edukasi tentang AI dapat menjadi solusi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Animasi memiliki keunggulan dalam menyampaikan informasi secara visual dan interaktif, sehingga lebih menarik dan mudah dipahami oleh siswa. Dengan konsep video animasi yang menjelaskan dasar AI secara sederhana, kegunaan, potensi, dan dampaknya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, supaya anak SMP dapat mengoptimalkan AI dengan baik

In the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, which began in 2011, technology has rapidly developed to facilitate human work and increase efficiency. One of the most groundbreaking innovations of this era is application technology based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI mimics human intelligence by understanding, learning, and making decisions based on data, and is even capable of self-correction. AI has great potential to provide positive contributions, especially in addressing challenges such as time efficiency and the completion of heavy tasks. Generation Z, particularly junior high school students in Indonesia, should start learning about AI technology because it is developing very rapidly, and the job market will adapt to AI technology by 2030. Most junior high school students are not yet familiar with AI, and among those who do understand its use, many are unaware of the negative impacts that this technology can bring. In addition to the benefits obtained, the use of AI without wise understanding can cause problems such as invalid data, copyright issues, and dependence on AI, which can reduce critical thinking skills. Education about the use of AI has been disseminated by various institutions such as Kominfo, the Directorate of Junior High Schools, and the Ministry of Education and Culture through social media, websites, and the YouTube platform. However, this educational content often does not attract attention, especially from junior high school students. Junior high school students' knowledge of AI is still lacking, both in terms of introducing technology and understanding its impacts. Seeing the importance of AI among junior high school students, there needs to be education related to the use of AI so that they can optimize AI for learning activities. The use of animation as an educational medium about AI can be an effective solution to increase students' interest in learning. Animation has the advantage of conveying information visually and interactively, making it more interesting and easier for students to understand. With the concept of animated videos that explain the basics of AI in simple terms, its uses, potential, and impacts in everyday life, so that junior high school students can optimize AI well.
