Abstract

The era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is an era where digital-based technology is widely developed, including in the industrial sector. The development of digital technology in the industrial sector is believed to increase the productivity of an industry. Indonesia is also participating in the Industrial Revolution 4.0, which is shown by the existence of digital and automation-based factories. One of the potential sectors in Indonesia is the maritime sector, with the vastness and richness of the Indonesian sea. One of the digital-based tools to help industries in the maritime sector is the Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). Even so, currently there are still very few manufacturers producing ROVs in Indonesia. Therefore, ROV production in Indonesia is considered to be very beneficial for various parties who need ROVs to support their industry. The ROV production should be done digitally considering that ROV itself is also one of the digitalization products. This will certainly bring contribution for Indonesia to compete in the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. This thesis discusses ROV production planning with a digital model, where it will be discussed which digital model is suitable for producing ROVs in Indonesia up to cost analysis, feasibility study and production plan of the ROV. In this research, it is found that digital ROV production can increase the effectiveness of ROV production compared to conventional models.
