Abstract

Instalasi Pengolahan Air Minum (IPA) Belusung PDAM Tirta Sewakadarma Kota Denpasar dan PDAM Tirta Mangutama Kabupaten Badung merupakan salah satu perusahaan pelayanan air minum yang menggunakan Sungai Ayung sebagai sumber air baku. Namun, Sungai Ayung terus mengalami penurunan kualitas akibat pencemaran bahan organik yang disebabkan oleh limbah domestik maupun industri. Adanya indikasi pencemaran pada sumber air baku akan berpengaruh terhadap unit pengolahan yang diterapkan untuk memenuhi baku mutu kualitas air minum. Meski menggunakan sumber air baku yang sama, IPA Belusung PDAM Tirta Sewakadarma Kota Denpasar dan IPA Belusung PDAM Tirta Mangutama Kabupaten Badung memiliki instalasi unit yang berbeda. Perbedaan unit pengolahan dapat menimbulkan perbedaan kualitas air hasil olahan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan penelitian untuk mengevaluasi perbandingan kinerja sistem pengolahan di IPA Belusung PDAM Tirta Sewakadarma Kota Denpasar dan IPA Belusung PDAM Tirta Mangutama Kabupaten Badung serta pengaruh adanya perbedaan sistem pengolahan terhadap hasil air produksi sehingga dapat diupayakan peningkatan kinerja unit. Pada penelitian ini akan digunakan metode composite sampling, yaitu pengambilan sampel dari beberapa titik tertentu dari beberapa waktu pengamatan. Pada setiap titik sampling akan dibutuhkan 1,5 L sampel air. Titik pengambilan sampel akan meliputi saluran intake, outlet unit prasedimentasi, aerasi, flokulasi, sedimentasi, filtrasi, dan air hasil olahan. Sampling akan dilakukan selama dua minggu dengan empat kali pengambilan sampel dan parameter uji analisis sampel air akan meliputi kadar oksigen terlarut, amonium (NH4 + ), nitrat (NO3 - ), nitrit (NO2 - ), N-organik, kekeruhan, TSS, BOD, COD, sisa klor, dan mikrobiologi. Hasil sampling selanjutnya akan dianalisis dengan analisis korelasi dan disajikan dengan pendeskripsian, perbandingan data menggunakan grafik dan tabel, serta perbandingan dengan baku mutu air minum. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan unit pengolahan yang diterapkan IPA Belusung PDAM Tirta Sewakadarma Kota Denpasar dan PDAM Tirta Mangutama Kabupaten Badung telah efektif karena telah memenuhi baku mutu persyaratan kualitas air minum. Namun, secara efisiensi penggunaan bahan kimia gas klor dan koagulan pada IPA Belusung PDAM Tirta Mangutama Kabupaten Badung masih dapat dioptimalkan. Sehingga, upaya peningkatan yang dapat dipertimbangkan adalah penerapan pre-klorinasi.

Belusung Drinking Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Tirta Sewakadarma Municipal Waterworks Denpasar City and Tirta Mangutama Municipal Waterworks Badung Regency are one of the drinking water service companies that use the Ayung River as a raw water source. However, the Ayung River continuously decreases in quality due to pollution of organic matter caused by domestic and industrial waste. Any indication of contamination in raw water sources will affect the treatment unit applied to meet drinking water quality standards. Even though both municipal waterworks use the same raw water source, the Belusung Drinking Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Tirta Sewakadarma Municipal Waterworks Denpasar City and Tirta Mangutama Municipal Waterworks Badung Regency have different unit installations. Differences in treatment units can cause differences in the quality of treated water. Therefore, research is needed to evaluate the comparison of the performance of the treatment system in theBelusung WTP Tirta Sewakadarma Municipal Waterworks Denpasar City and the Belusung WTP Tirta Mangutama Municipal Waterworks Badung Regency and the effect of different processes with the same raw water source on the processed water so that the unit performance can be improved. In this study, a composite sampling method will be used, namely taking samples from certain points from several times of observation. At each sampling point, 1,5 L of water sample will be required. The sampling points will include the intake channel, outlet of the pre sedimentation unit, aeration, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and treated water. Sampling will be carried out for two weeks with four sampling times and water sample analysis test parameters will include levels of dissolved oxygen, ammonium (NH4 + ), nitrate (NO3 - ), nitrite (NO2 - ), organic N, turbidity, TSS, BOD, COD, residual chlorine, and microbiology. The sampling results will then be analyzed by correlation analysis and presented with descriptions, comparisons of data using graphs and tables, and comparisons with drinking water quality standards. The results of the analysis show that the overall treatment unit applied by the Belusung WTP Tirta Sewakadarma Municipal Waterworks Denpasar City and the Belusung WTP Tirta Mangutama Municipal Waterworks Badung Regency has been effective because it has successfully reached the drinking water quality requirements. However, the efficient use of chlorine gas and coagulant chemicals at the Belusung WTP Tirta Mangutama Municipal Waterworks Badung Regency can still be optimized. Thus, an improvement effort that can be considered is the application of pre-chlorination.
