Abstract

Keakurasian pengukuran pH cairan merupakan aspek terpenting dalam beberapa proses aplikasi, seperti industri minyak, indsutri kimia. Departemen Teknik Kimia Industri terdapat mata kuliah Instrumentasi dan Pengendalian Proses (IPP) yang bertujuan untuk mengenalkan mahasiswa teknik kimia industri terhadap instrumentasi dan pengendalian proses. Hingga saat ini, pengenalan terhadap instrumentasi serta sistem pengendalian proses hanya terbatas pada teori dan perhitungan, serta percobaan pada Matlab Simulink tanpa menggunakan instrumentasi nyata. Sehingga dibuat sistem pengendalian pH pada tangka pencampuran untuk mendukung praktikum Instrumentasi dan Pengendalian Proses dengan menggunakan Mikrokontroller Arduino MEGA2560, sensor pH 4502-C dan motorized ball valve sebagai aktuator. Perancangan dilakukan dengan membuat prototype sistem kontrol pada tangki kemudian melakukan percobaan untuk mengetahui kinerja alat sistem pengendalian. Berdasarkan pengujian nilai Kp, Ki, Kd didapat respon sistem terbaik menggunakan pengendalian propotional-integral dengan nilai Kp = 15 dan Ki= 1,5 pada sistem alat netralisasi pH dari pH awal sebesar 5 ke pH 7 memiliki overshoot sebesar 15,43%, undershoot sebesar 8,57% serta rise time dan settling time masing masing sebesar 3s dan <50s.

The accuracy of liquid pH measurement is the most important aspect in some application processes, such as the oil industry, indsutri kimia. The Department of Industrial Chemical Engineering has a course in Instrumentation and Process Control (IPP) which aims to introduce industrial chemical engineering students to instrumentation and process control. Until now, the introduction of instrumentation and process control systems has only been limited to theory and calculations, as well as experiments on Matlab Simulink without using real instrumentation, and only using plants made in Simulink. So that a liquid pH control system and system a pH control system module on the tank were made to support instrumentation and process control practicum using the Arduino MEGA2560 Microcontroller and pH sensor 4502- C. Design was carried out by making a prototype of the control system on the tank then conducting an experiment to find out the performance of the sensor of systems Based on testing the value of Kp, Ki, Kd obtained best system responses is propotional-integral with a variable value of Kp = 15 and Ki= 1.5 in the pH neutralization tool system from the initial pH of 5 to pH 7 having an overshoot of 15.43%, an undershoot of 8.57% and a rise time and settling time of 3s and <50s
