Abstract
Pada saat ini, permintaan nikel meningkat pesat, ini terjadi karena meningkatnya minat nikel dalam industri electric vehicle (EV). Nikel digunakan untuk membuat katoda dalam baterai nickel mangan cobalt (NMC), dan untuk membuat baterai NMC ini, nickel (II) sulfate hexahydrate dibutuhkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi dari perbandingan solid:liquid pada saat pencucian dari hasil kristalisasi untuk meningkatkan nilai recovery nickel. Material yang digunakan adalah ferronickel hasil smelting dari mini mlast furnace, proses leaching dilakukan menggunakan 120 ml larutan H2SO4 2M pada temperatur 90o C selama 6 jam dengan kecepatan pengadukan 200 rpm, dilanjutkan proses presipitasi menggunakan aditif CaCO3 hingga pH 3,01. Selanjutnya dilakukan dengan pemanasan pada filtrat presipitasi pada 90°C selama 24 jam. Setelah itu, dilakukan proses kristalisasi untuk menghasilkan kristal NiSO4.6H2O. Kristal lalu dicuci menggunakan aquadest dengan variasi perbandingan antara masssa kristal:volume aquades yaitu 1 gr/10 ml, 1 gr/15 ml, 1gr/20 ml, dan 1gr/25 ml. Filtrat hasil pencucian dikristalisasi kembali agar menghasilkan senyawa NiSO4.6H2O. Hasil terbaik variasi perbandingan pencucian dilakukan pada variasi perbandingan SL25, dimana komposisi nya yaitu 27,13% Ni, 1,55% Fe, 0,66% Co, dan 0,64% Ca. Selain itu nilai recovery perbandingan S25L juga lebih baik dibandingkan dengan variasi perbandingan pencucian lain pencucian dengan nilai recovery 96,11% Ni dan 15,60% Co

Nowadays, the demand for nickel is increasing rapidly. This happened because of nickel's interest in the electric vehicle (EV) Industry. Nickel is used to make cathodes in
nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) batteries, and to make these NMC batteries, nickel (II) sulfate hexahydrate (NSH) is needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the
effect of variations in the ratio of solid to liquid during washing treatment from crystallization to increase the nickel recovery value. The material used was ferronickel from a mini blast furnace, the leaching process was carried out using 120 ml of 2M H2SO4 solution at 90o C for 6 hours with a stirring speed of 200 rpm, then followed by a precipitation process using CaCO3 additives to pH 3,01 at 90o C, and then the precipitation filtrate was heated at 90°C for 24 hours in the oven. After that, the crystallization process was carried out to produce NiSO4.6H2O crystals. Then the Crystals washed using aquadest by a variation ratio between crystals (gr) with aquadest (ml) the ratio are 1 gr/10 ml, 1 gr/15 ml, 1 gr/20 ml, and 1 gr/25 ml. Then the filtrate from washing treatment was crystallized again to produce NiSO4.6H2O in crystal form. The best results were obtained in washing variation S25L with Composition results are 27,13% Ni, 1,55% Fe, 0,66% Co, dan 0,64% Ca. Beside that, recovery values from S25L variation are 96,11%. Ni and 15,60% Co.
