Abstract
PT Berau Coal, sebagai perusahaan pertambangan batubara, memiliki tanggung jawab untuk menjaga fungsi hidro-orologi dan melindungi flora fauna. Salah satu upaya perusahaan dalam memulihkan fungsi ekologis adalah melalui reklamasi dan revegetasi area pasca tambang. Revegetasi dilakukan untuk mengembalikan fungsi hutan dalam penyediaan jasa lingkungan, termasuk untuk mengupayakan sebagai kawasan penghasil karbon (C) dan menyerap karbon dioksida (CO2). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran jumlah biomassa dan stok karbon di area revegetasi Site Binungan PT Berau Coal periode tahun tanam 2015 hingga 2022. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kombinasi pengambilan sampel lapangan dan penginderaan jauh menggunakan foto udara multispektral MicaSense. Estimasi biomassa dan stok karbon dengan foto udara dilakukan dengan menghitung nilai indeks kehijauan tanaman atau Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) dan meregresikannya dengan data biomassa lapangan. Empat model regresi yang dianalisis adalah linear, kuadratik, kubikal, dan eksponensial. Keempat model tersebut akan dilakukan evaluasi untuk mendapatkan best fit model dengan uji akurasi menggunakan parameter Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) dan nilai korelasi dari hasil pemodelan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model regresi eksponensial dengan persamaan regresi Y = 1,3e-6 x 316656862,6NDVI menghasilkan nilai korelasi tertinggi (0,84), menandakan korelasi yang cukup kuat antara NDVI dan biomassa. Pengujian akurasi model menghasilkan nilai RMSE sebesar 15,65. Diperoleh nilai rata-rata stok karbon 70.817,15 Ton/Ha (2015), 79.837,03 Ton/Ha (2016), 49.654,44 Ton/Ha (2017), 47.047,98 Ton/Ha (2018), 35.219,57 Ton/Ha (2019), 19.693,19 Ton/Ha (2020), 31.335,53 Ton/Ha (2021), dan 31.335,53 Ton/Ha (2022). Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara usia tanaman, NDVI, biomassa, dan stok karbon. Semakin tua usia tanaman, semakin tinggi pula nilai NDVI, biomassa, dan stok karbon di area tersebut.

PT Berau Coal, as a coal mining company, has a responsibility to maintain hydrological functions and protect flora and fauna. One of the company's efforts to restore ecological functions is through the reclamation and revegetation of post-mining areas. Revegetation is carried out to restore the forest's role in providing environmental services, including efforts to create areas that produce carbon (C) and absorb carbon dioxide (CO2). This study aims to determine the distribution of biomass and carbon stock in the revegetation area of Site Binungan PT Berau Coal for the planting period from 2015 to 2022. The research method used is a combination of field sampling and remote sensing using multispectral aerial photos from MicaSense. Biomass and carbon stock estimation using aerial photos is done by calculating the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) values and regressing them with field biomass data. Four regression models analyzed are linear, quadratic, cubic, and exponential. These models will be evaluated to obtain the best fit model with accuracy tests using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and correlation value of the modeling results. The research results show that the exponential regression model with the regression equation Y = 1,3e-6 x 316656862,6NDVI produced the highest correlation value (0.84), indicating a fairly strong correlation between NDVI and biomass. Model accuracy testing yielded an RMSE value of 15.65. The average carbon stock values obtained were 70.817,15 Ton/Ha (2015), 79.837,03 Ton/Ha (2016), 49.654,44 Ton/Ha (2017), 47.047,98 Ton/Ha (2018), 35.219,57 Ton/Ha (2019), 19.693,19 Ton/Ha (2020), 31.335,53 Ton/Ha (2021), and 31.335,53 Ton/Ha (2022). The study's findings indicate that there is a positive relationship between plant age, vegetation index (NDVI), biomass, and carbon stock. The older the plants, the higher the NDVI values, biomass, and carbon stock in the area.
