Abstract
PT Petrokimia Gresik, salah satu produsen pupuk terbesar di Indonesia, menghadapi tantangan dalam menjaga efisiensi operasional dan keberlanjutan lingkungan, pada pengolahan air limbah dan pengelolaan suhu produk pada rotary cooler. Audit pengolahan limbah cair dilakukan sesuai dengan Surat Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan No.175/Menlhk/Setjen/PKL.1/4/2017 Tentang Izin Pembuangan Air Limbah ke Laut. Optimalisasi suhu produk di rotary cooler penting untuk menjaga kualitas pupuk agar tetap bebas dari caking (menggumpal) pada suhu optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengaudit sistem pengolahan air limbah (waste water treatment) guna memastikan kepatuhan terhadap standar lingkungan, serta mengoptimalkan suhu keluaran produk dari rotary cooler melalui evaluasi kinerja rotary cooler, blower, dan chiller untuk mencapai suhu target 55°C. Metode penelitian meliputi observasi lapangan, pengumpulan data desain dan aktual, serta perhitungan efisiensi alat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan manajemen PT Petrokimia Gresik dalam pengolahan limbah cair telah memenuhi baku mutu yang ditetapkan. Upaya optimasi dilakukan dengan menurunkan suhu amonia hingga -25,19 °C, meningkatkan kapasitas aliran blower menjadi 67.876 m³/jam, dan memastikan tidak adanya kebocoran pada seal rotary serta ducting chiller.

PT Petrokimia Gresik, one of the largest fertilizer producers in Indonesia, faces challenges in maintaining operational efficiency and environmental sustainability, in wastewater treatment and product temperature management in rotary coolers. The audit of liquid waste treatment is carried out in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Environment and Forestry No. 175/Menlhk/Setjen/PKL.1/4/2017 Concerning the Permit for Discharge of Wastewater into the Sea. Optimizing the product temperature in the rotary cooler is important to maintain the quality of the fertilizer so that it remains free from caking (clumping) at the optimal temperature. This study aims to audit the wastewater treatment system to ensure compliance with environmental standards, as well as optimize the product output temperature from the rotary cooler through evaluation of the performance of the rotary cooler, blower, and chiller to achieve the target temperature of 55°C. The research methods include field observation, collection of design and actual data, and calculation of tool efficiency. The results of the study indicate that the management policy of PT Petrokimia Gresik in liquid waste treatment has met the established quality standards. Optimization efforts were made by lowering the ammonia temperature to -25.19 °C, increasing the blower flow capacity to 67,876 m³/hour, and ensuring that there were no leaks in the rotary seal and chiller ducting.
