Abstract

Selama menjalani program magang di PT INKA ( Persero ), saya berkesempatan untuk belajar langsung sebagai oprator las. Fokus utama kegiatan ini adalah penggunaan metode Las Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) pada plat stainless steel. PT INKA, sebagai produsen kereta api terkemuka di Indonesia, banyak methode pengelasan yang dilakukan pada pembuatan body kereta, Las GTAW digunakan untuk keperluan interior kereta sekaligus keindahan estetik dalam menghasilkan produk sambungan yang kuat dan presisi, terutama pada material stainless steel yang membutuhkan kontrol panas yang akurat. Laporan ini membahas efektivitas metode las GTAW dalam fabrikasi komponen kereta api, berupa pengaruh perbedaan ketebalan plat dan amper las GTAW

During my internship program at PT INKA (Persero), I had the opportunity to learn directly as a welding operator. The main focus of this activity is the use of the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) method on stainless steel plates. PT INKA, as a leading train manufacturer in Indonesia, uses many welding methods in the manufacture of train bodies, GTAW welding is used for train interior needs as well as aesthetic beauty in producing strong and precise joint products, especially on stainless steel materials that require accurate heat control. This report discusses the effectiveness of the GTAW welding method in the fabrication of train components, in the form of the influence of differences in plate thickness and GTAW welding amperage
