Abstract
Belt Conveyor merupakan alat yang berfungsi untuk mentransportasikan bahan bakar utama yang berupa batubara dalam siklus pembangkit listrik tenaga uap. Kinerja belt conveyor memiliki peran yang sangat penting terhadap tingkat produktivitas yang dihasilkan. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari perusahaan dalam kurun waktu sejak Januari 2021 hingga November 2023 , telah banyak dilakukan kegiatan corrective maintenance pada komponen belt onveyor. Oleh karena itu, untuk mencapai tingkat produktivitas yang diharapkan perlu dilakukannya tindakan perawatan dan pemeliharaan yang tepat. Pada Proyek Akhir ini, dilakukan analisa penyebab kerusakan pada belt conveyor dengan menggunakan metode perawatan Design- Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (DFMEA) sebagai referensi bagi Perusahaan dalam menentukan tindakan perawatan yang sesuai dimasa yang akan datang. Tahap pertama yang dilakukan pada Proyek Akhir ini adalah dengan melakukan identifikasi kegagalan berdasarkan worksheet FMEA yang berisi tentangnilai severity, occurrence dan detection. Setelah didapatkan hasil identifikasi, maka dilanjutkan dengan menghitung nilai risk priority number (RPN) sehingga didapat nilai RPN yang tertinggi. Kegagalan yang memiliki nilai RPN tertinggi akan dilanjutkan dengan analisa dengan metode DFMEA untuk mencari penyebab kegagalan design pada komponen. Setelah beberapa tahap diatas dilakukan, maka dilanjutkan dengan merekomendasikan tindakan perawatan yang tepat berdasarkan prosedur dan literatur. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data, didapat 15 kegagalan pada komponen belt conveyor. Diantaranya ada 8 kegagalan pada idler, 3 kegagalan pada pulley, 2 kegagalan pada belt dan 2 kegagalan pada sistem penggerak. Rekomendasi perawatan adalah pergantian idler dengan tipe baru yang memiliki keunggulan proteksi bearing yang lebih maksimal.

Belt Conveyor is a tool that serves to transport the main fuel in the form of coal in the steam power plant cycle. The performance of the conveyor belt has a very important role in the level of productivity produced. Based on data obtained from the company in the period from January 2021 to November 2023, there have been many corrective maintenance activities carried out on conveyor belt components. Therefore, to achieve the expected level of productivity, it is necessary to take appropriate care and maintenance measures. In this Final Project, damage analysis is carried out on the conveyor belt using the Design- Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (DFMEA) maintenance method with the aim of being a reference for the Company in determining appropriate maintenance actions in the future. The first stage carried out in this Final Project is to identify failures based on the FMEA worksheet which contains the severity, occurrence and detection values. After obtaining the identification results, it is continued by calculating the risk priority number (RPN) value so that the highest RPN value is obtained. Failures that have the highest RPN value will be analyzed using the DFMEA method to find the cause of design failure in the component. After several stages above are carried out, it is continued by recommending appropriate maintenance actions based on procedures and literature. Based on results of data processing, 15 failure were obtained in the belt conveyor components. There are 8 failures in idler, 3 failure in pulley, 2 failure in belt and 2 failure in drive system. The maintenance recommendation is to replace the idler with a new type that has the advantage of maximum bearing protection.
