Abstract

The Sampangan Distribution Pump distributes water from the Kaligarang reservoir to the Kaligarang flow zone, Gunung Talang DMA and Talang Sari DMA with a total of 4956 House Connections (SR). The Sampangan Distribution Pump installation is one of the contributors to the increasing energy costs at Perumda Air MinumxTirta MoedalhKota Semarang. This study was conducted using a quantitative analysis method by collecting data related to current, voltage, frequency, discharge and pump head and a descriptive analysis method was used to describe the current energy consumption conditions in the distribution pipe network and the pressure at the farthest customer modeled using the EPANET 2.2 application. The energy consumption conditions in the distribution network modeled using the EPANET 2.2 application obtained the results of electrical energy consumption of Rp. 1,356,165.00 per day. Based on this, an energy efficiency improvement program was carried out, namely reducing piping headloss, regulating VSD, installing capacitor banks, replacing pumps and building elevated reservoirs. Alternative energy efficiency improvements reviewed from a technical perspective have met the requirements for pressure, headloss and power factor. Reviewed from the financial aspect using the BCR, NPV, PP, and IRR methods, it has been financially feasible. Reviewed from the institutional aspect, institutional strengthening is needed at Perumda Air Minum Tirta Moedal with a SWOT analysis resulting in a Strength-Opportunity strategy
