Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas modifikasi struktur Gedung Rumah Sakit Surabaya Timur Tower A dengan menggunakan sistem Base Isolation tipe friction pendulum system (FPS). Analisis dilakukan terhadap struktur sekunder dan primer, serta performa sistem Base Isolation dalam menahan gempa. Perencanaan struktur sekunder meliputi pelat lantai, tangga, balok anak, dan balok lift dengan berbagai dimensi yang disesuaikan. Struktur primer mencakup balok induk dan kolom untuk kondisi fixed base maupun yang telah dimodifikasi dengan Base Isolator. FPS yang digunakan adalah tipe FIP-D L 510/600 (3700) dengan konfigurasi double concave. Verifikasi kapasitas energi disipasi menunjukkan bahwa kurva base shear terhadap displacement masih dalam kapasitas histeresis FPS, menegaskan kemampuan sistem dalam meredam gempa. Selain itu, penambahan isolasi dasar meningkatkan periode alami struktur hingga ±97% dibandingkan kondisi fixed base pada mode pertama. Rasio Partisipasi Massa Modal juga mengalami perbaikan signifikan, dengan dominasi mode pertama mencapai >95% pada struktur dengan Base Isolation dibandingkan ±70% pada struktur tanpa isolasi. This study examines the structural modification of the East Surabaya Hospital Tower A using the friction pendulum system (FPS) base isolation system. The analysis covers secondary and primary structures as well as the performance of the isolation system in seismic resistance. The secondary structure design includes floor slabs, stairs, secondary beams, and lift beams with various dimensions. The primary structure consists of main beams and columns for both fixed base conditions and those modified with base isolators. The FPS used is the FIP-D L 510/600 (3700) type with a double concave configuration.Energy dissipation capacity verification shows that the base shear versus displacement curve remains within the FPS hysteresis capacity, confirming the system's effectiveness in seismic damping. Furthermore, the addition of base isolation significantly increases the natural period of the structure by approximately 97% compared to the fixed base condition in the first mode. The Modal Mass Pa rticipation Ratio also shows substantial improvement, with the first mode dominating at >95% in the isolated structure, compared to ±70% in the fixed base structure. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of the FPS system in enhancing seismic performance and structural stability.
