Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan langkah strategis PT Dok Pantai Lamongan untuk mengurangi downtime alat berat yang menyebabkan kerugian operasional. Tujuan penelitian adalah merancang dan mengembangkan Engine Health Control System berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) untuk memantau kondisi operasional alat berat secara real-time dengan biaya hemat dan efisien. Sistem menggunakan Arduino Mega sebagai pengendali utama, dilengkapi berbagai sensor untuk memonitor parameter mesin seperti tekanan oli, suhu pendingin, RPM, dan tegangan baterai. Data dikirimkan ke platform IoT melalui modul ESP8266 dan disimpan dalam database MySQL, dengan antarmuka berbasis Visual Studio yang memungkinkan pemantauan visual dan notifikasi dini. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan sistem ini berhasil mengurangi downtime alat berat hingga 22,58% dengan biaya pengembangan yang lebih rendah dibandingkan solusi komersial. Sistem bersifat modular sehingga dapat diadaptasi untuk berbagai kebutuhan industri lain dengan penyesuaian minimal.

This research is a strategic step by PT Dok Pantai Lamongan to reduce heavy equipment downtime that causes operational losses. The study aims to design and develop a cost-effective and efficient Internet of Things (IoT)-based Engine Health Control System to monitor the operational condition of heavy equipment in real-time. The system utilizes Arduino Mega as the main controller, equipped with various sensors to monitor machine parameters such as oil pressure, coolant temperature, RPM, and battery voltage. Data is transmitted to an IoT platform via the ESP8266 module and stored in a MySQL database, with a Visual Studio-based interface that enables visual monitoring and early anomaly notifications. Testing results indicate that the system successfully reduced heavy equipment downtime by 22.58% with lower development costs compared to commercial solutions. The system's modular design allows for adaptation to various industrial needs with minimal configuration adjustments.
