Abstract

Sistem struktur modular adalah solusi konstruksi refabrikasi yang menawarkan berbagai keunggulan, seperti penghematan biaya, efisiensi jadwal, dan kualitas yang presisi. Teknologi ini sudah digunakan pada bangunan tingkat tinggi, salah satunya pada 461 Dean Apartment di New York dengan 33 lantai. Namun, di Indonesia, penerapannya masih terbatas pada bangunan maksimal 8 lantai, seperti pada pit building Mandalika. Dibandingkan dengan modular beton, modular baja lebih ringan dan memberikan fleksibilitas yang lebih besar
dalam desain arsitektur. Meskipun demikian, modular baja memiliki tantangan, seperti ketahanan terhadap api dan kebutuhan pemeriksaan rutin pada sambungan antar modulnya.
Kendala lain yang dihadapi struktur modular, terutama untuk bangunan tinggi, adalah kemampuan menahan gaya gempa. Hal ini terjadi karena struktur modular seringkali memiliki
diafragma yang tidak menyatu secara sempurna. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, sistem penahan gempa seperti Special Concentrically Braced Frames (SCBF) tipe Inverted-V dianggap lebih efisien. Sistem ini mampu menyalurkan gaya lateral dengan lebih baik dan meminimalkan keruntuhan plastis dibandingkan sistem lainnya.
Penelitian ini berfokus pada perancangan struktur gedung apartemen 25 lantai dengan menggunakan struktur modular baja, sambungan shear key, dan sistem rangka bresing
konsentris khusus (SRBKK) tipe Inverted-V. Harapannya, studi ini dapat menghasilkan solusi yang inovatif dalam merancang struktur modular yang lebih optimal, baik dari segi efisiensi material maupun kinerja seismik, sehingga dapat mendukung perkembangan konstruksi modular di Indonesia.

Modular structural systems offer an innovative refabrication solution, providing significant advantages in cost efficiency, construction timelines, and overall quality. This technology has been successfully applied to high-rise buildings, such as the 33-story 461 Dean Apartment in New York. However, in Indonesia, its use remains limited to structures up to 8 stories, such as the Mandalika pit building. Compared to concrete modular systems, steel modular systems are lighter and offer greater design flexibility. Despite these benefits, steel modular systems face challenges, including vulnerability to fire and the need for regular inspections of their intermodular connections.
One of the main challenges of modular structures, particularly in high-rise buildings, is their seismic performance. This is often due to discontinuities in the diaphragm of the modular system. To overcome this issue, seismic-resistant systems like Special Concentrically Braced
Frames (SCBF) with an inverted-V configuration have proven to be more effective. These systems efficiently transfer lateral forces while reducing the likelihood of plastic collapse compared to other seismic-resistant methods.
This research aims to design a 25-story apartment building using a steel modular structure, shear key connections, and Special Concentrically Braced Frames (SCBF) with an inverted-V configuration. The goal is to develop an innovative and optimized modular structural design that enhances material efficiency and seismic performance, contributing to the advancement of modular construction in Indonesia.
