Abstract

Startup companies, atau yang biasa disebut sebagai perusahaan startup, adalah fenomena model bisnis baru yang merupakan konsekuensi dari kemajuan masif teknologi global dan perubahan preferensi konsumen. Dengan pemilihan layanan dan ceruk pasar yang tepat, perusahaan startup dapat tumbuh dan berkembang secara eksponensial. Perusahaan startup merupakan salah satu pemain kunci dalam lanskap bisnis Industri 4.0 karena menciptakan peluang kerja, mengundang investor asing dan mendorong perbaikan ekonomi nasional. Namun penelitian menunjukkan adanya tingkat kegagalan sampai dengan 90% pada proses perkembangan perusahaan startup. Sebagai penentu kebijakan, founder startup perlu mengetahui kondisi riil perusahaan agar dapat memberikan gambaran secara komprehensif dan mengarahkan penentuan keputusan strategik yang tepat untuk mempertahankan keberlanjutan dan menjaga valuasi perusahaan. Berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu, perusahaan startup disarankan untuk melakukan implementasi sistem Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP). Dengan melakukan instalasi sistem ERP, founder startup mendapatkan akses sistem tersentralisasi, sehingga keseluruhan informasi yang dihasilkan, merupakan data yang akurat, detail dan utuh, memastikan kualitas data yang menjadi dasar pengambilan keputusan perusahaan terjaga dengan baik. Pada penelitian ini dibahas mengenai analisis kebutuhan ERP pada perusahaan startup, berdasarkan hasil semi structured interview dari manager perusahaan startup existing dan pakar dalam bidang ERP, dan modul ERP yang direkomendasikan untuk perusahaan startup tahap awal pembentukan. Hasil penelitian diharapkan menjadi acuan bagi perusahaan startup dalam melakukan instalasi aplikasi untuk mempertahankan keberlanjutan perusahaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pentingnya implementasi ERP pada perusahaan startup. Modul ERP yang disarankan founder/manager antara lain adalah modul Accounting, Inventory, Service, Recruitment, Project, Sales, Employee. Sedangkan modul ERP yang disarankan pakar adalah Accounting, Sales, HRM.

As key contributors in the Industry 4.0 landscape, they drive job creation, attract foreign investment, and support national economic development. However, research reveals that up to 90% of startups fail during their development phase. To overcome these challenges, startup founders must possess a thorough understanding of their company’s real-time conditions. Such insight allows for informed, strategic decision-making that ensures long-term sustainability and protects company valuation. One commonly recommended approach is the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. ERP systems provide a centralized platform that consolidates all business data, ensuring the accuracy, depth, and relevance of information used in decision-making, thus enhancing data quality for startup founders. This study conducted an analysis of ERP requirements specific to startups, incorporating expert insights and semi structured interview from managers of existing companies to determine the most suitable ERP modules for early-stage startup businesses. The research findings offer a framework for startups aiming to implement ERP systems
effectively, supporting both sustainability and growth. Key findings highlight the importance of ERP integration in startup companies, with founder and manager recommendations including the Accounting, Inventory, Service, Recruitment, Project, Sales, and Employee modules. In contrast, experts recommend focusing on the Accounting, Sales, and Human Resource Management (HRM) modules.
