Abstract

Based on data collected from the Pew Research Center, Indonesia is the country with the third largest number of motorized vehicle users, especially motorbikes, in the world after Thailand and Vietnam. In Indonesia itself, the number of motorized vehicles reached quite a number, namely on February 9 2023 there were 153,400392 units recorded, of which 87% of this number were motorbikes. With the large use of motorized vehicles and the relatively short lifespan of inner tubes, a buildup of waste inner tubes has emerged. Based on this problem, a simple effort that can be made to utilize waste inner tubes is by upcycling. Upcycling of waste inner tubes has not been widely carried out and the designs that have been produced have not been varied so they have not attracted public interest, so the use of modular interlocking techniques for waste tires is something new. This modular interlocking technique is a technique for making modules in the form of small pieces that can be assembled into sheets that are ready to be processed into products that have high value.
