Lapik Terawang, a cultural heritage of Kerinci, remains underexposed and is at risk of losing relevance in the modern era. Locally woven products have yet to represent the unique characteristics of Lapik Terawang motifs and fail to align with modern trends, resulting in low market demand. This research aims to design Lapik Terawang-inspired bags that preserve cultural values while meeting the needs of modern lifestyles. The methodology includes a literature review, user preference studies, the ATUMICS Method, experiments, and design analysis. The design process was conducted iteratively, emphasizing aesthetics, functionality, and market suitability. The proposed design concept features modern leather bags that highlight Lapik Terawang motifs, combined with high-quality materials and trendy colors to attract consumers. These bags are designed to support modern lifestyles, especially for formal events and special occasions. The research outcome is a prototype of modern leather bags incorporating Lapik Terawang motifs, premium materials, and contemporary colors. The product embodies ethnic, luxury, and a contemporary values. The bags are available in three variants (Arsa, Lana, and Adira), each representing distinct meanings and values. Through this product, users are expected to experience the offered concept while gaining an appreciation for Lapik Terawang craftsmanship and understanding its cultural significance.
