Abstract

Lembaga filantropi memiliki peran penting dalam pembangunan sosial dan kemanusiaan. Namun, beberapa lembaga mengalami penurunan penghimpunan donasi, termasuk lembaga filantropi XYZ. Penurunan ini diduga disebabkan oleh menurunnya kepercayaan donatur yang berkaitan dengan kurangnya transparansi informasi, kesulitan dalam proses donasi, dan fitur platform digital yang belum memenuhi ekspektasi donatur maupun stakeholder. Permasalahan ini menjadi tantangan yang perlu segera diatasi untuk meningkatkan keberlanjutan donasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan donatur terhadap lembaga filantropi XYZ yang mengalami penurunan penghimpunan dana akibat kurangnya transparansi informasi. Dengan menggunakan metode Design Thinking, penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan solusi yang dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan donatur melalui transparansi yang lebih baik, kemudahan transaksi, dan pengelolaan kampanye yang lebih efektif. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu lembaga filantropi XYZ menghimpun donasi secara lebih berkelanjutan. Proses penelitian dilakukan menggunakan lima tahapan utama dalam metode Design Thinking, yaitu Empathize, Define, Ideation, Prototyping, dan Testing. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan donatur dan stakeholder kunci, observasi platform digital terdahulu, serta pengukuran pengalaman pengguna menggunakan User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) dan System Usability Scale (SUS). Temuan utama menunjukkan kebutuhan akan fitur transparansi informasi kampanye, panduan pembayaran interaktif, serta section khusus untuk kampanye daerah sebagai upaya meningkatkan kepercayaan donatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan prototipe platform berbasis Design Thinking mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan donatur secara signifikan. Prototipe yang dihasilkan menawarkan transparansi yang lebih baik, kemudahan penggunaan, serta visibilitas kampanye daerah yang lebih optimal. Pengujian prototipe menunjukkan peningkatan kepuasan pengguna yang signifikan, memberikan kontribusi strategis bagi lembaga XYZ dalam membangun kepercayaan donatur dan meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan kampanye donasi secara berkelanjutan.

Philanthropic organisations play a pivotal role in the realm of social and humanitarian development. However, some organisations have witnessed a decline in donations, including XYZ philanthropic organisation. This decline is hypothesised to be attributable to diminished donor trust stemming from a paucity of information transparency, challenges in the donation process, and digital platform features that have fallen short of donor and stakeholder expectations. This predicament necessitates immediate attention to enhance donation sustainability. The present study aims to address the decline in donor trust caused by the aforementioned issues. Utilising the Design Thinking method, this study focuses on the development of a solution that can increase donor trust through enhanced transparency, ease of transactions, and more effective campaign management. Consequently, this study is expected to assist the XYZ philanthropy organisation in raising donations in a more sustainable manner. The research process was conducted using the five main stages of the Design Thinking method, namely Empathise, Define, Ideation, Prototyping, and Testing.Data was collected through interviews with donors and key stakeholders, observation of existing digital platforms, and measurement of user experience using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) and the System Usability Scale (SUS).The main findings show the need for campaign information transparency features, interactive payment guides, and special sections for regional campaigns to increase donor trust. The results showed that the development of a platform prototype based on design thinking could significantly increase donor trust. The prototype provides greater transparency, ease of use and improved visibility of regional campaigns. Prototype testing showed a significant increase in user satisfaction, making a strategic contribution to XYZ Institution in building donor trust and increasing the effectiveness of fundraising campaign management in a sustainable way.
