Abstract
Kopi merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan Indonesia yang mem-iliki peran penting dalam perekonomian nasional, baik dalam pasar domestik maupun ekspor. Dengan potensi pasar yang besar, industri kopi Indonesia tetap menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti fluktuasi produksi dan harga, serta kom-pleksitas rantai pasokan yang panjang. Untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, MOWK’S COFFEE, sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam penjualan biji kopi, berupaya mengembangkan aplikasi penjualan digital guna meningkatkan efisiensi operasional serta memperbaiki pengalaman pengguna dalam bertransaksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang User Interface (UI) dan User Experi-ence (UX) pada aplikasi MOWK’S COFFEE dengan pendekatan Design Think-ing, yang berfokus pada kemudahan akses, kepuasan pelanggan, serta efisiensi dalam rantai pasok produk. Metode Design Thinking yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari lima tahap: empati, definisi, ideasi, prototipe, dan pengujian. Pada tahap empati, wawancara dan survei dilakukan untuk memahami kebutuhan pelanggan terkait aplikasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pengguna menginginkan antarmuka yang intuitif, informasi produk yang jelas, serta proses transaksi yang cepat dan aman. Pada tahap ideasi, berbagai solusi desain dikembangkan sesuai kebutuhan tersebut, kemudian diwujudkan dalam bentuk prototipe. Uji coba dil-akukan bersama pengguna untuk mendapatkan umpan balik, yang kemudian digunakan dalam iterasi desain. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan peningkatan sig-nifikan dalam kemudahan penggunaan serta kepuasan pelanggan. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan Design Thinking dalam perancangan UI/UX aplikasi MOWK’S COFFEE dapat meningkatkan efisiensi distribusi, mempercepat proses transaksi, serta memberikan pengalaman belanja yang lebih nyaman bagi konsumen. Selain itu, aplikasi ini berpotensi meningkat-kan kesejahteraan petani, pengepul, dan pelaku industri HOREKA (Hotel, Restoran, Kafe) melalui sistem distribusi yang lebih efisien. Kesimpulannya, de-sain berbasis pengalaman pengguna yang diuji dan diperbarui secara berkelanju-tan dapat membantu MOWK’S COFFEE mengatasi tantangan operasional serta memperkuat daya saingnya di industri kopi yang semakin kompetitif.

Coffee is one of Indonesia’s primary commodities, playing a pivotal role in the national economy through both domestic trade and exports. Despite its sig-nificant market potential, the Indonesian coffee industry faces numerous chal-lenges, including production and price fluctuations, as well as the complexity of an extended supply chain. To address these issues, MOWK’S COFFEE, a compa-ny specializing in coffee bean sales, aims to develop a digital sales application that enhances operational efficiency and optimizes the user experience in trans-actions. This study seeks to design the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) of the MOWK’S COFFEE application by employing the Design Thinking framework, with a focus on accessibility, customer satisfaction, and supply chain efficiency. The research adopts the Design Thinking methodology, which consists of five iterative stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. During the empathize phase, user interviews and surveys were conducted to identify consum-er preferences and pain points regarding digital coffee purchasing platforms. The findings indicate that users prioritize an intuitive interface, clear and compre-hensive product information, and a fast, secure, and seamless transaction pro-cess. In the ideation phase, multiple design solutions were proposed to address these needs, followed by the development of a prototype. Subsequently, user test-ing was conducted to obtain feedback, which informed further refinements through an iterative design process. Empirical results demonstrate a significant improvement in usability, efficiency, and overall user satisfaction. The findings of this study suggest that implementing Design Thinking in the UI/UX development of the MOWK’S COFFEE application enhances distribu-tion efficiency, streamlines the transaction process, and provides an improved shopping experience for consumers. Furthermore, the platform has the potential to positively impact coffee farmers, suppliers, and stakeholders in the HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, Café) industry by fostering a more efficient and equitable dis-tribution system. In conclusion, a user-centered, iterative design approach—informed by continuous testing and feedback—can effectively address operation-al challenges while strengthening MOWK’S COFFEE’s competitive positioning within the increasingly dynamic and competitive coffee industry.
