Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi elektronika daya seperti Variable Speed Drive (VSD), Static VAR Compensator (SVC), rectifier, DC chopper dan inverter menyebabkan semakn banyaknya beban non-linier dan berdampak munculnya harmonisa. Injeksi harmonisa arus menyebabkan distorsi gelombang tegangan sistem, pemanasan pada transformator, pulsa torka dan pemanasan pada mesin listrik. Salah satu cara mitigasi permasalahan hamonisa dengan memasang shunt active power filter. Shunt active power filter dapat menghilangkan harmonisa, menyeimbangkan beban dan membantu sistem saat kondisi transien seperti starting motor. Praktik keinsinyuran ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui spesifikasi dan cara merancang active power filter untuk mengatasi permasalahan kualitas daya. Active power filter bertugas menginjeksikan komponen daya aktif osilasi, daya reaktif dan daya aktif urutan nol ke beban. Sehingga sumber hanya menginjeksikan komponen daya aktif rata-rata saja ke beban. Dengan menggunakan teori daya sesaat, hasil simulasi menunjukkan active power filter berhasil mengurangi THD arus, arus di sisi sumber sinusoidal dan seimbang, serta memperbaiki faktor daya.

The development of power electronics technology such as Variable Speed Drive (VSD), Static VAR Compensator (SVC), rectifier, DC chopper and inverter causes more non-linear loads and has an impact on the emergence of harmonics. Harmonic current injection causes distortion of system voltage waves, heating of transformers, torque pulses and heating of electrical machines. One way to mitigate harmonic problems is by installing a shunt active power filter. Shunt active power filters can eliminate harmonics, balance loads and help the system during transient conditions such as starting a motor. This engineering practice aims to determine the specifications and how to design active power filters to overcome power quality problems. Active power filters are tasked with injecting oscillatory active power components, reactive power and zero sequence active power into the load. So that the source only injects the average active power component into the load. By using the theory of instantaneous power, the simulation results show that active power filters are successful in reducing current THD, current on the sinusoidal and balanced source side, and improving the power factor.
